Anyone know if the Shooter app is working for iPad? Crashes every time it loads on my iPad. I haven’t opened it in a long time (normally use it on my phone) but wanted to check. Thanks.
Which vortex optics do you run and do you run it on a bolt gun or something else? I'm looking at a Vortex Razor HD GEN II 4.5-27X56 FFP and was wondering how the overall scope is, glass, eye box, etc. Any info helps. Thanks!
I figured I should at least lend some help/opinions since I kinda hijacked your thread. Apologies about that. I don't have experience with the Steiner or the Vortex so hopefully others will weigh in about those. But I do have experience with Nightforce and I'll say the following: - their...
While you all are replying to @jsmann3428, and in the spirit of not starting another thread on this same-ish question... I'm also looking for a scope for a 6.5 Creedmoor build I'm working on. It's a precision rifle that I plan on shooting out to ~1200 yards...maybe slightly more. I currently...
The "Berger AR Hybrid OTM" or the "Berger Hybrid? I'm not entirely sure the difference other than the weight. I'm assuming "AR" indicates for an "AR" platform rifle but not sure.
Hi, I'll be new to 6.5 creedmoor (whenever I actually finish the rifle) and am looking for the best off the shelf ammo for precision shooting (out to ~1000 yards, maybe ~1,200) before I start reloading. Been reading and have noticed that the following ammo is highly regarded but wanted to poll...
Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but... Does anyone know if Sniper Magazine (on iPad or print) has released the 2019 version yet? I’ve been getting that magazine every year that it was published (print and digital) and I can’t seem to find any information about the 2019...
So I figured I'd throw this out there since I started this thread in case there's a person out there thinking about a custom rifle build and where to source components...because that was the boat I was in when I started down this path. I purchased the barrel from Core Shooting Solutions along...
Core Shooting solutions out of Florida. It was 729 and they had a good selection of lengths. Compared to the other Proof Research dealers they were the cheapest (with maybe one other company at the same price but didn't have the length I wanted). Proof posts their dealers on their barrel page...
@Baron85 thanks for the note about the CG Jackson. I wasn't aware of that company and will do some reasearch. I didn't realize I had such a sought after trigger on my TRG. Just thought it was great because it's what I'm used to.
Want to say thanks to everyone who posted. I ended up ordering a 26" Sendero Proof carbon fiber barrel and it should be here next week. Got a great deal on it compared to what other dealers were selling it for. Goes to the smith as soon as it arrives. Thanks again to everyone who chimed in and...
I agree on the cosmetic side. I love the look of carbon fiber. Like an asshole I even went out and bought a carbon fiber staple gun...at least I use it a lot.
Really good info. Thank you to all who replied! Are there any differences in the Sendero vs Sendero Light other than weight? Also, what barrel length is more popular...24" or 26"?
In process of building a 6.5 Creedmoor on a Mausingfield action. I'm curious if anyone has experience with Proof Research carbon fiber barrels. I'm not going to lie...I have a healthy obsession with carbon fiber stuff. I've heard they're slightly lighter than a steel barrel but not sure about...
I currently shoot a Sako TRG in .308 and I love it. It was my first precision rifle and just a great rifle to sit behind and shoot for a long period of time. I'm in process of building a 6.5 Creedmoor with a Mausingfield action and I'm learning about triggers and would love to enlist some help...
thanks @Monk Medic ...you actually reminded me of a question of mine re: what educational materials do we leave with in terms of handouts, etc from their training courses. I got an email from someone at Dark Angel and they told me the requirements for hosting a class so that's an option as well.
