Casca. Light reading, historical fiction, about 21 books, written by Barry Sadler. Casca Longuinious (sp?) is believe to be the Roman Legionaire to have speared Jesus Christ to put him out of his misery on the cross. But this is a whole (true) story in itself.
Salt Lake has a couple of gun manufacturers, but unless you are mormon I would not recommend it. CO has too many CAs, so the gun laws are going liberal (Magpul just pulled their operations out of there). If you go North from there (Montana and Wyoming) it is very gun friendly, wild open...
If you are going to drop $3k on an original rifle, buy original parts. There are 2 correct mounts presently on fleabay for $2150 each. Too high, but they are out there. Scopes are out there too. I just sold an original M82 for $900. M81s are REAL scarce. Original K-line cheek pads are...
It's about a 50/50 shot for me. May have sold something on this forum; do I have a feedback score? Got recently cussed out by a guy on AR.com, because he gave me a low-ball offer on an item and I responded "good luck with that". But you are correct; many people in the WTB section are looking...
I know Mitchell Mauser does pretty good at repros. Don't know of anyone doing an Enfield. Hang out with the reenactors of WWII. They always have an insight to these types of guns. If you can't afford an original, building your own repro is the cheapest. Hard to get your money out of repros...
Just quoten' uncle bill. Even back then, I thought it was funny. 1000 rds is 2 bricks of .22. Those libitards don't have a clue. Gotta' remember, Homeland security didn't exist back then.
As to the OP: maybe the "victim" was actually a hunter. Look at the first names of the 3 scum-bags. Maybe there wasn't even a firing pin in the rifle. Think outside of the box.
CMP bidders are way more rich than I. A couple of weeks ago, an 03-A4 without mount, rings, and scope went for $4700. It would take at least another $1000 to bring it up to complete. And it wasn't even a "Z series". Wonder if I could get CMP to auction off some of my stuff?
