    Re: Savage rebarrel project... CrawDad338, Bryan Litz quotes the 175 SMK G7 BC as 0.243. A lot of the smaller bullets 105 Berger Hybrid (6mm) and 155.5 Berger FullBore (308) have a more attractive BC than the "old" 175 SMK. I shoot both and each have their purpose.

    Re: Savage F/TR Short chamber? 175 SMK C.O.L. Dan, thanks for the info. I have a 10FCP-HS and when I load to OAL of 2.800" it gives me a 0.030" jump. I guess they are all a little different. XTR, I'll definitely look into getting a reamer when I replace the F/TR barrel with a custom.

    Re: What speeds do you reload your 175 grain 308? 2600fps at the chrono positioned 12ft from rifle. 24", 1:10 barrel. I had a higher accuracy node just above 2700fps but stayed with 2600fps as it gets me out to 1000yds with no problems.
