    25-06 131 gr blackjack

    I had a custom reamer made for my 25-06. I am shooting the 131gr blackjack bullets with Retumbo powder. I am getting close to 3200 ft./s with no pressure signs. Very accurate load. 1/2 MOA out to 900 yards. 26” 7.5 twist rock creek barrel.

    I recently converted a Tikka T3 300 WM to a 6.5 PRC with a Proof CF prefit, Mesa precision stock. I’ve been really happy. I am ambidextrous, but shoot a rifle left handed. I would love to find a LH T3 or T3X action with standard boltface if anyone has one. They seem to be unobtainium.

    When I first found this page (~2005 I think), I read and read these forums and took as much info as I could in. I then bought a used GAP 308 in an AICS chassis. Great rifle. There are so many options these days, it's crazy. I would do a 6.5 CM to start with the precision rifle your budget...

    Sorry I missed this previously. I am getting just under 3K fps with 143 ELD-X and 2930 with 147 ELD-M. That being said, it is a new barrel and 24". I have a 26" 6.5 SAUM that I can get ~3050fps with 147 ELD-M and that is a close to max handload. If you reload, you can obviously get more out...
