    Suppressors Jet .338 Suppressor

Re: Jet .338 Suppressor Thanks for all the info. I would not consider it, but I have actually held the item in my hands. It appears that a Titanium can for $1000 is a pretty good deal. It sound like there are better, but not near this price.

    Suppressors Jet .338 Suppressor

I have a dealer that has a .338 can in his hand which one of his customers purchased, but now wants to sell. I can find all kinds of info on how crappy Jet's customer service is, but nothing on the actual performance of the can. Anyone have any experience with the large caliber titanium can?

Rifle Scopes I've tasted the Hensoldt koolaid...

Re: I've tasted the Hensoldt koolaid... If this is thread hijacking I apologize, But it appears that there are a lot of guys that have used the Hensoldt and the S&B both. I just recently purchased a 4x16 FFP that I mounted on my GAP .308. I also just acquired a TRG 42 .338 and was thinking of...

Range Report Is SD really that telling? Check this out instead

Re: Is SD really that telling? Check this out instead Great read. I am a land surveyor and I use a least squares adjustment package for our survey measurements. Comparing two loads based on standard deviation without comparison to a standard is actually kind of like comparing apples to...

    Rifle Scopes Hensoldt Zero

Re: Hensoldt Zero @Nathan. Thanks for the kind words. Apparently a couple of others didn't think it was a interesting question. I worked the math and it in matches to 5 decimal places (yeah I'm anal about measurements) not enough to worry about. What a fine piece of equipment. I can't wait...

    Rifle Scopes Hensoldt Zero

Re: Hensoldt Zero Thanks, I know the conversion, what I was thinking about is the ratio which is 1/100 whether yards or meters. Now that I think about it, the hash marks would be a little off. I need to do a little trig and see what that difference calculates.

Rifle Scopes How I got the most out of my Hensoldt - How to:

Re: How I got the most out of my Hensoldt - How to: Great set up. Just received my Near Mgf. Alpha Mount in 20 MOA in the mail today. I can't wait to mount it on my GAP tomorrow and dial it in.

    Rifle Scopes Hensoldt Zero

Re: Hensoldt Zero Thanks for the replies. Actually after I thought about it the lines at the bottom of the scope are only used for ranging and as the first 224msn pointed out have no bearing on the zero. Now what is the customary zero on a Mil-dot? 100 yards?

    Rifle Scopes Hensoldt Zero

This probably a stupid FNG question, but I am going to assume for the ranging lines in the 4x16 FFP to be close to accurate, the scope needs to be zeroed at 100. Is this a correct assumption?

    Gunsmithing Trigger Guard Torque

Re: Trigger Guard Torque I did search and I'm pretty sure it is a Badger Trigger Guard. I found nothing stating what the torque for the bolts on the Badger should be.

    Gunsmithing Trigger Guard Torque

I need to remove the stock on my GAP to adjust the trigger. When I put it back together, to what value should the bolts be torqued.

    Rifle Scopes Hensoldt 4 X 16 FFP

Re: Hensoldt 4 X 16 FFP Thanks but I am getting conflicting data. I read the specs as 112 up and 112 down. The windage is specified the same was as 50 cm / 100m +/-. I know the adjusting turret for elevation will turn more that one revolution and one revolution is 12 mils which would...

    Rifle Scopes Hensoldt 4 X 16 FFP

FNg with questions on the range of adjustment on this scope the specs state 112cm/100m +/-. using these numbers I calculate 224 cm at 100m or 88 inches at 100m. Using a little trig I calculated 77 MOA. Does this sound correct. A review that I read stated the adjustment was approx. 18 mild or 62 MOA.

    Rifle Scopes Sighting Distance.

I have always wondered about this and I know it probably doesn't make a hill of beans, but are there any specs. of where the measurement are made for sighting in? Is the distance measured from the end of the muzzle or or the recticle on the scope. Forgive me for being anal, but I am a land...
