Re: Barrel Finish Length yes you can make a 26 from a 27 inch blank no problem. Most match grade barrels come with a saw mark about a inch from the muzzle because the lapping process bellmouths the barrel at each end. The bore end dose'nt need to be cut off because the chamber will be big...- brad_26
