We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
I see that AnarchyOutdoor lists the AE/AICS version as not available. Anybody who has both the old and new chassis knows whether the AT model can be retrofitted to AICS?
Yes, got a little time on the long field myself, the custom curve doesn´t lie and real world data therefore corresponds to G1=.510 or G7=.254. Sierra is pretty optimistic in published numbers.
What a melee. Sierra lists .547 @ 2500 fps and above .542 between 1800 and 2500 fps .529 between 1600 and 1800 fps .519 @ 1600 fps and below. JBM has the numbers down to .527/.522/.509/.495 (could be the official numbers given by Sierra pre-pointing?). The Applied Ballistics custom profile...
Drag & Drop would be awesome, but this seems to work just fine. Definitely not the most important feature to catch up with in this phase of the revival :)
Lindy did a beautiful writeup jut on that a while ago: http://www.snipershide.com/shooting/range-report-exterior-ballistics/11546-making-ballistic-cards-using-density-altitude.html Making Ballistic Cards Using Density Altitude
I know what it reminds me off, haven´t really noticed last time I checked the pics - the fron is almost like the original Erma SR100, while the stock/spigot design is along the lines of the current DSR-1. Both great designs of their time. I wonder what weight will your design end up if you try...
What load? Recommended by manual? By friend? Max according to the manual? Max loads are usually bullet specific and linked to a given COAL. Chamber pressure is, among other things, related to the available combustion chamber (free volume of the case under the bullet). Different bullet shapes are...
Definitely touching the rifling. Use sharpie on the bullet to see the contact better. I´d just modify a case, measure your rifle´s true COL to the ogive and start with the new reloads from there. Remember starting with the bullet jammed into the rifling yields higher pressures, so that also asks...
Frank: it´s just 5.5 each way. With my 308 load at our 1000m (not yards) shoot I´m at approximately 1MIL for each 1m/s of wind. Dialing some and holding a little over it is always more comfortable than holding all the wayy to the image´s edge on a 30-round string. Call it user comfort :)
Frank, sure it´s probably the mounts. But I still had impression that the scope could (should?) have more internal adjustment available. I´ve received info from Vienna today confirming that there is no zero stop on the windage the 11 or 12 MILs that are available is all there is. I want to add...
Alright... I´m either turning something wrong, or this only works on the elevation turret. I´m battling the windage adjustment here. I do have the advertised 11MILs available, only when zeroed, the available adjustment is WAY off balance (9.4MIL right and 1.6MIL left). It´s like only the cap...
Thanks a bunch to everybody; i just didn´t want to start turning the turrets before I made sure the travel is there and accessible. Will do when back at the range. BTW is there any detailed manual to the scope? Mine came with the warranty card only and there´s not much in the manufacturer´s...
