Yes, extremely bad, galvanic corrosion will start and the scope rings will rot off in 2 years. You will start to see major discoloration on the base and your torque values for your rings will never be right. The steel is just too strong for the aluminum.
Re: S&B PMll MTC Turret Issue The PMII was designed for a 45moa base. I have a premier heritage that i zeroed and am only left with 23.5 mils. Thats with a 30moa base, even though my turret can go to 28 mils.
Re: 3-15x50 Premier Heritage scope zeroing My question has been answered by you guys, thanks. So it would be a common occurrence. It's going to be going on a near scope base, which i think has 25 moa cant. I guess i could have gone more, but i didn't know at the time. What's got me thinking...
Re: 3-15x50 Premier Heritage scope zeroing Really? So if i were to put it on a 30 moa mount, it should possibly be in the first rev? That was his guess, that it was for more canted bases. Thanks for the reply.
I am looking at purchasing a 3-15x50 premier heritage scope, DT turrets, used, and the person i am buying from has said the scope had an initial problem that were repaired by premier. The turret would not go back to its first rev and the turret was loose. That was repaired. Now, after repairs...

Re: Remingtom 700 and an MTU contour OK, thanks, i was just worried about the threads expanding from the weight, then the barrel loosening, causing accuracy problems.
I am just about ready to pick up a new 6.5mm cal barrel for my rem 700 and i am just thinking would the action threads be able to handle the weight of an MTU contour without ill effects in the long run. At 26" in length, it would have quite the force against it. Thanks for the input.
Re: New 260 with KRG W3 Chassis Is that a tubb bolt? If it is, how smooth does it feel in the action, is it loose when you pulled the bolt all the way back? Does the bolt handle get in the way when you have a 90 degree trigger finger. The bolt with a badger style bolt knob i have currently...
Re: Should I trade my "M40A5" build for a AW? From a financial standpoint, if it is the same caliber you are trading for, why? You will either gain or lose money, with a loss having better odds. If it is an ergonomic reason, i can see that. Or if it is because the AW is just growing on you...
