I bought about 2K 178gr Amax about 5yrs ago. And to make a long story short, when I started loading for the 308's again, low and behold, the bullets were tarnished just as yours. I simply take a hundred when I'm ready to load and throw in the ol trusty Tumbles Tumbler (Corn Cob & a little...
I second the Manners with the mini chassis. By the time you spend $500 on the stock, $200-$300 on Bottom Metal & $75-$100 to have the stock inlet, you will have a bunch of money tied up in a stock that doesn't equal the craftsman ship and quality of a Manners or McMillian.
I can't speak on the superlites but, between me and my brother, we have 3 (270 Win, 270 WSM, & 300 WM) T3 Lites. Except for the Mags kicking like a mule, they are great rifles. We have ABUSED every one of them for the past couple of years and they take it. They mean it when they say that it will...
Try to post those pics again if you can. I wanted one but, got impatient and bought a 300WM in a 700P instead. Still may buy one when I runn across one
Never tried BLC-2 w/ 150's. I have about 400 168gr SMK loaded in LC brass & 46grs put up for "hard times". RRA LAR-8 Varmint w/ 26" barrel shoots them 3/4 MOA out to 400. Like longrangefool said though, it is pretty dirty though
My 700P has been cut down to 22" and it shoots 71.4grs of RL-22 with a 190gr SMK like a laser. Have had it cut down for the last 100 rounds and now, I'm wondering why I didn't cut it down sooner.
Thanks for the input. Have only tried RL-22 so far with a 190gr SMK. 70.5 grns will shoot a .491 3-shot @ 100yds. Haven't ran it across a Chrono yet to check the speed. Was running low on H-1000 after loading up my 7mm STW for hunting season. Powder Valley had gotten some in last week so, I...
First off, I may be posting this in the wrong section and I'm sorry if I am. I just had my 700p 300 Win Mag barrel cut down to 22". I want to be able to move it around in a deer stand a little easier. I'm starting to second guess what I did. The smith called and said that the gun is finished...
