You bring up an excellent point here. Of all the training and mental preparation a person does for self defense, I don’t see any way to realistically prepare for something like this.

I have a couple of the 4.5-14 Conquests, and yes, I like them a lot. Mine have "hunter" turrets.

Re: one and only one rifle for any north american game While my Blaser K95 30-06 loaded with RWS 184 gr Rap-X ammo would do the job on anything in North America, my Blaser R93 Professional in 9.3x62 would do it with a smaller margin of error.
