Hensoldt 60 vs. Kowa 88 Prominar - Please Advise

Anyone who has looked through a Spotter 60 knows that the glass is second to none and once you have a spotter with a reticle in it you will never be without one again, IMO. It is a tough thing to be without once you've had one.

    Nice large rifle cases

That's strange, my Starlights all have wheels. They are great cases, every bit as good as a Pelican. I stopped using them for normal use long time ago(too heavy and bulky) and use drag bags now, Starlight only for airline travel for security.

Rifle Scopes Tangent Theta - TT525P

I don't get the haters on this thread. Someone posted a first hand review of a product that was positive, it doesn't make him a fan boy or an employee. In fact, I would think that a guy would think twice about posting any review on this site(especially if it was something he is selling) because...

    HENSHOLDT Spotter 45

After having bought/use the Spotter 60 I understand why so many recommended to spotter 45 instead. Even for a mag-whore like me, the Spotter 60 really brings everything in just a bit too tight, it would be nice to have more field of view. The optics are so good in this spotter that the...

    PLRF 15C serial cable

Which serial cable should a guy get for the PLRF 15C, trigger or no trigger. The price I was quoted was double for the trigger on the cable and I am just wondering if it is that big a deal. I guess for real long range it may be nice to have the trigger if you don't want to touch the tripod after...

Most capable .30 cal or 7mm S/A Chambering for ELR

I run a PGW Coyote(short action) in a 7 WSM and have nothing but good things to say about it. 180 gr SMKs over 66.6gr Rl 25 at 2850 fps out of a 24" Krieger gives me sub 1" groups at 300m. I have done 4" groups at 930M with this set up in 20mph winds so the performance speaks for itself.

Rifle Scopes Bubble level options for S&B Ultrashort

That sounds good too. Will that mount have an integrated bubble level or any provision for mounting a bubble level?

    Trimble Nomad question

Thanks for the replies. So after reading the FFS manual, I gathered that the GPS will allow you to save target co-ordinates and group them so that you can re-visit that location and bring up a firing solution without ranging them again. I don't see this as any major benefit right now as I can...

Is GPS a requirement to run FFS? If not what would the benefit be to having GPS(other than the obvious basic navigation)?

Rifle Scopes Bubble level options for S&B Ultrashort

How wide is the Accuracy 1st? The Vortex is 1/2" but maybe i can jam it in there. What is the narrowest scope mountes bubble level? There must be something out there less than 1/2" right?

Best choice for ear protection for BIG bore rifle

Ain't that the truth! My ears are still ringing from last hunting season when my hunting partner had a lapse in judgement and shot over me at a moose with his .338 win mag!

    100 yard home range?

It depends on your climate and soil but I would avoid digging at all cost. I would also bring in sand, as soon as you dig you are creating places for water to pool after rain but more importantly after the snow melt. It takes a while for the ground to thaw in order to soak up surface water, and...

Rifle Scopes Bubble level options for S&B Ultrashort

I recently purchased a new S&B 5-20x50 Ultrashort and after mounting it in the rings(Murphy Precision) realized how little tube is left for mounting a bubble level. I have a vortex 34mm which I would have to cram in there making things pretty tight and a couple of USO rail mounts that won't fit...
