Toyota Gas pedal recall and Crash that sparked it.

Hi guys been a while since I have posted on this. Well here we go time for the wild ride. I worked at the dealer that was connected to the Lexus dealer that killed the Saylor family. I trained some of the mechanics that worked there. When Lexus first arrived in the U.S. market there really was...

Tunnel Testing 22lr With Some Surprising Data

Could it be falling in and out of a node? Maybe take the ammo and cool it in an ice chest or warm it up with a hand warmer and don't let it stay in the chamber for more than 20 seconds or so. Should be an easy test. May also give you some funny strings. Got a .22 that is SUPER sensitive to...

Bill Ritchie passed away in Nov

It would seem as though it does. Tried to reach his son by way of FB but no luck. I'm thinking there was a lot going on in the family.

Bill Ritchie passed away in Nov

I remember talking to him and Dean Michealis. Unfortunately Dean screwed a bunch of people here on the hide. He literally dropped off the face of the earth. Sad because he was a treasure trove of information. He was intimately involved in the testing and some design of the Cheytac. Biggest...

Bill Ritchie passed away in Nov

Same here. Went to Redlands when he was in Kalifornia a few times getting some things worked out and a Kepplinger installed. Good guy. I to am VERY disappointed that his son has just dropped the ball. I think there are issues with some lawsuits because of Cheytac. Given the huge distance I have...

Bill Ritchie passed away in Nov

Just saw a few weeks ago that Bill Ritchie passed away. Was getting ready to send in for the fast locktime firing pin. Guess the big "C" got him and he ended things early. Sad that that chapter and book has come to an end. Love my Windrunner.

Match Grade 50 BMG Ammo for Semi Auto's

I have had GREAT luck using pulled AP. The core is super stable and 700 grain (well 690). Anyways when they are run through the sizer they are much more accurate than 650 ball in my M96.

300 yards shooting is all over the place.

I really can't believe no one has recommended some one else shoot his rifle to verify shooter/or equipment failure.

How to "drive" a piston gasser?

Two separate ragged holes? Sounds more like a loose component. Check the rifle for loose mounts etc.

    How heavy is too heavy???

You will need 3 things. 1. your rifle 2. about 20 to 30 feet in a low to no light room 3. a CHEAP lazar pointer. So tape, attach or whatever a lazar pointer to the end of your barrel in a darkened room. Go prone and do some dry fire on the wall. Ok now as the trigger breaks watch that little...

    mildot master confusion

It is just another way to reverse engineer range. If you go to page 15 (top sentence says "will then give you the needed number of "clicks of elevation" you are just using the bullet drop of YOUR rifle cartridge combo that you should have already verified. This really isn't the best way to use...

    Help stuck need help!!!!

I will throw my 2 cents in. It is a combo of two you have already heard but must be used together. Grease and the dowel. Put a good bit of wheel bearing grease in the end of the barrel and then a dowel in the end. give it a sharp rap and hydraulic pressure should dislodge it. Here is an example...

What type of "lock tight" to use

You can also use a lacquer paint of an appropriate color on the outside of the screw head to its surface. If the screw loosens in any way it will break the hardened paint. You can use nail polish of the same color (black, green, red, whatever) to hide or make it stand out. On our racing cars and...
