    Reloader 17?

I have an opportunity to grab some Alliant Reloader 17. With powder so scarce, wanted to see what people thought of it before I do. I am reloading for 6mm Creedmoor using Hornady 108gr bullets and per Hornady load data, RL-17 could be a good powder to try. I have been reading that RL-17 is...

    Prices went up on Hodgdon

Anyone else notice the prices jumped on the Hodgdon website or is it just me? What was once 26-30$ is now about 40$. I wonder if all these prices will drop again once everything starts to calm down or if they’ll remain the current fixed.

Newb reloading for AR15 for LR Precision

I've been reloading for a couple of months using an AR15, 18" WOA barrel on a BCM upper i assembled, BCM lower with SSA-E trigger. The goal is to have a heavy bullet good for 3/4 MOA with a 10 shot group. Id like to be able to ring 8" plates at 600 yards consistently. I'm a decent shot with a...

    Good scale around $150

Hello, I am looking for advice on a decent reliable powder scale. I currently have a Frankford Arsenal scale that I am really not happy with. It seems to be fairly consistent on its weight, however my biggest complaint is that it jumps when trickling powder. So for example I've been using 41.8gr...

    Crushing powder when seating

(First post) I am reloading for 308. 208gr hornady eld with Reloader 15 using the hornady reloading manual. About halfway through my powder charge increments, I started hearing a crunching sound as I seated the bullet. I was seating to the same depth, and obviously more powder takes up more...

.308 Bullet and powder selection for 18" barrel

I haven't reloaded .308 in a while and am needing to pick up some supplies. I know each gun is different and I'll have to find what works for my gun, I'm just trying to establish a starting point. I had a few questions about the 168gr vs 175/178gr and also about Varget vs IMR 4064. I have...

Temp sensitivity question for 308 powders.

I am really only familiar with Varget but have recently bought other types of powder to reload and have fun with. When will I really see effects of Temperature? Is there a resource to indicate an optimal operating temperature for the following: 1) XBR 2) 4064 3) Reloader 15 4) BLC-2...

Which powder for supersonic 300 blackout in 1:7" twist barrel?

I picked up a rifle in 300 Blackout and am setting up to reload for it. Powder is tough to find (read: impossible) but I'm curious which powder I should be hunting for? Supersonic loads with 125g slugs through a 7-inch twist barrel. I suspect H110 is the king but I'd bet some of you have some...

    Too much powder?

I just started reloading and got the Speer Book and the Sierra book to go over and read before I started. I went ahead and loaded some 52 and 53gr bullets for my Ar-15. Then I loaded some Hornady 68gr Match bullets with 24.1grs of Varget which is the lowest starting point for that load but it...
