Before I start - yes I've done searches... Therefore I wanted to get opinions regarding powder for the 338 LM. I want to know from the .338LM shooters, what powder is the most popular for the 250g Scenars? Any help is appreciated.

Around election time I purchased powder at 18 bucks per pound. Was in the same store today and the powder that they have (about half sold out) is $25 per pound. Crikey!

As of about 2PM yesterday, Cabela's had a new pallet of powder that had not been unpacked yet. I picked up 5 lbs of H4831 (regular, not SC) for $21.99/lb, and got the guy to pull them for me and hold them - which they will do for 24 hrs. No primers, though. Hope this helps someone.

I have only used Varget for reloading 308 until now. I can't find any anywhere. What other powders are good for 308? I have looked at rl-15 and it seems like it will be hard to find also. I shoot 175gr SMK and shoot from a m14nm and a Remington 700 with 26" barrel.

What are some good powder dispensers I'm thinking around 150.00 but open to others in the higher price range.

I have a bunch of 223 50 gr v max bullets and can't get much of a group with the powder i've been using. I have used IMR 4895 and 3031 and the best group I have gotten is about 5/8 of an inch. Not that I am dissapionted but I have gotten better than 1/2 inch groups with 50grhp federal value...
