Fair enough Moving on. Perhaps you can suggest A builder for him of equal Quality. Choice is always good.

Weeks, not months.

There are other builders out here that have an attention to detail and machining tolerances that are through the roof. You just have to know where to look and what you’re looking at.

As far as a .250moa AR10, I call bullshit.

+1 To Roscoe. You should check out HateCA's pool porn he is also top notch. There are several top shelf gunplumbers here.<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: hydro556</div><div class="ubbcode-body"><div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: wnroscoe</div><div class="ubbcode-body"><div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Valken</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Show me one who can Turn it around in weeks instead of months and I'll concede. </div></div>

Gotta have pretty thick skin around here sometimes Jason. We still welcome you and I hope you've got some useful info on the AR10's. Some of us have just gotten a little carried away trying to warn you about this guy, its kind of a sore spot here on the hide. Just a hint, when Lowlight seems this confident about a subject, he's usually right. One things for sure, you cant say you weren't warned

LOL Though it would remain to be seen. I'll take him for his word and concede. I only carry some reservation because I can't tell you how many times I had 60 to 90 days turn into 8 months. GA was not only with in the allotted time but under it. Never seen it happen before or after. especially with a gas gun.

But seem to digress . 1/4 min Gas gun humm never seen it except when some one gets lucky and slops one in. I do some tactical rifle comps here in southern CA. We have a 1000 yd match just about every October. We had a fairly know Smith (AR Smith) come out and shoot the match one year. He had an 18 inch custom he built, (AR). Very tight on the tolerances. Stage one was Cold bore at a 1000 and then 10 shots on paper at 1000 yds. His little gas shot just over a min at a 1000 yds. Very nice indeed till stage two. Stage two was five shots on steel at 500 yds., 750 yds, and 1050 yds. Didn't make it through because of extraction issues. Seems the chamber was so tight when it got fouled it malfunction. So even if you get a 1/4 min. shooter how well can it hold up under shooting conditions also remains to be seen.

Re: 1/4 moa out of armalite AR-10? ur input please

I used to believe that any AR that shot 1 MOA consistently was about as good as you could get. Then I traded for a Larue SSS with a 20" LW barrel. I didnt keep it long, or really do much load development, but the thing wanted to shoot 1/2" groups at 100. Only took it to the range 2 or 3 times, but it impressed the hell out of me.

Re: 1/4 moa out of armalite AR-10? ur input please

Valken, I agree. Some will say a few weeks and it turns into several months. They fail to give all of the details up front. GA does keep on hand several barrels, stocks and receivers. I can see how you could call GAP cold and have a rifle in a few weeks. My quick turn around is when a client has their components and we dont have to order a barrel or stock, then it turns into several months. I would'nt touch a gas gun, not my cup of tea. Now, back on topic.

Mr. Roscoe can give you what you seek in a bolt gun. His work doesn't take a backseat to anyone. Customer interaction during and after the build is in a word, excellent. He really cares about your satisfaction. I have GAP guns and Patriot guns. Both are very nice. In fact, GAP is building me a spec M40A1 as we speak.

I own a machine shop so as far as metal work I know a little about what I am looking at. William's work is as good as I've seen. Not taking anything away from anyone else, just sayin.

I supplied all of my parts to William. He had to purchase a .223 reamer. Took about a week and a half to get. I had the gun back to me 1 week after the reamer arrived.

You can't go wrong with GAP or Jered but there are others out there that do great work. William as an example.

Nuff said.

Re: 1/4 moa out of armalite AR-10? ur input please

On the 1/4 moa thing....my AR10 will do 1/4 at 100 and about an inch at 350, missing 1/4 MOA but not by much. Once in a while I shoot less than an inch so I cant say that 1/4moa isnt possible. I know I havent spent the time on my load to see if it would do better because its been shooting more than good enough. I've made first round hits at 1200 yards so for a gas gun, I'm happy and GTG. I cant call BS but I will say its not too likely but can you get one to shoot great? HELL YEAH! 1/2 MOA is much more of a real world goal. If I built a gun that shot 1/4moa for me, I'd be afraid to say so because it may not do it in the hands of the customer. How do you feel about that?
