The weight difference in a 16.5" carbon and steel is basically nada...carbon shines at longer lengths vs steel

Sunday is always a 1,000y day at the Quantico Shooting Club! I quickly installed the Triggercam this morning with the intent to fire a few 225s and 212s to get some video. Dumbass operator shot the video with his glasses on, soooooooo, it's a bit out of focus. I'll look it over to see if any is worth posting and hopefully I'll get it right next time.

I'm bringing a T-Mobile puck with me now to create a hotspot since there is basically no Verizon service at the range. Not a bad deal, 50GB for $50 a month. The shooting mat is covered in debris from the muzzle blast since public works cut the firing line for the PRS centerfire match yesterday.
I've always used a cheap Amazon temperature strip to monitor the barrel temps when shooting strings. Here it is after the 10rds I shot.
Obligatory target pic with a couple windage misses.

Banging some gongs with my favourite 6.5
I got's two, a Sandman-L and a Surefire SOCOM 7.62RC. I know that reduces my overall cool factor exponentially since I no got's the TBAC.
If you are referring to the LEO signoff...that's been removed from NFA requirements now, for exactly that issue.
I wish Ai made a .22lr so we could have a deer pic at both extremes lol

To be fair I missed the eye by 1/2" was looking to my left. So bullet passed thru the brain and out the neck under the antler.
Early morning practice session with the 6.5 and a great sunrise this morning. Hoping to snag whitetail and an elk with this setup next week.
Always good to meet a fellow sophisticate. I shot an antelope with a 300NM last year at about 375 and it was everything I hoped it would be.
My out of focus TriggerCam video from the 300 PRC AXMC with NF ATACR 7-35 @1,000y this weekend. I made the mistake of focusing the darn thing with my glasses on, so it was guaranteed to be OOF. The TC attaches to the NF's ocular ring so you also have to get the cant correct and if it moves during firing, the reticle will appear to be canted.
Here's one from last year using my AX in 260 @ 1,000 with a Tacticam. I slapped it on and while in focus, it was a bit off cant. This was a February day that was cold, but with some good mirage.

It's amazing how confidence inspiring that AI is. Wind was gusting 25mph+ and raining cats and dogs. He said the vapor trail was awesome and hit with a thud.
Split it in two and made my kid pack out half.

It’s a damn nice scope man. I found it much nicer to look through than the mark 5’s and razor Gen ii’s. It’s up there with kahles for less money lol
The only thing I found is that the eye box is a bit tight no matter the magnification, and the parallax knob is tight. But the parallax itself is pretty forgiving. Mainly set it and forget it past 400yds. The reticle is also nice.
Oh. And they’re pretty heavy lol that was the first thing I noticed when I picked it up from @M4guru. maybe not Gen II heavy, but for being a shorter scope, she’s stout

I love my accutacs but I prefer the br4 and I think the longer sr5?

I shoot prone in tall grass quite a bit and never use the pan feature but I prefer the accutacs over the atlas offerings overall
