Another Picture Thread - All Other Semi-Autos

Everyone says the SCAR family are fully free floating... But in the pics of all the barrel assemblies I've seen...they don't appear to be? Is it just my eyes? Or is the bottom pic rail touching the barrel?

Somebody said the APC9SD would fun as a two stamper so lets do three! Extra bits are for if it wants to roll play as an MP5SD! Or i'll grab an MPX and a ILWT SD barrel and the full sized can can live on that. Time will tell.

And sure as shit... The Print-X Titanium Modular SD can is starting to pop up for sale. DAMNIT!!! :D

The stippling was a hassle and a half to do, but that's at least finally done. Feel a bit silly only sharing pictures of the same thing, over and over as it slowly progresses. Other than the steel and stainless needing to be nitrided, it's pretty much done now though. Otto Repa was impressed by it, and thought it looked just like what he originally designed. So that was kinda cool to hear.

Don't know how I didn't spot this earlier...

How do you change barrels in the 6940 & 6940 P? I don't remember smallarmssolutions ever addressing that in his vid on the "the pinnacle of Colt AR15's" as he calls them.

It’s a proprietary barrel nut. You need a special wrench to remove it. AU came out with a wrench that’s serviceable but not built like a tank as Specialized Armament’s. The price reflects as such.

I recently started in the firearms downward spiral, and having a blast. I thought it would be fun to take long distance shooting classes, and have a whole new respect for those that have it down. So much to learn, but absolutely interesting and fun. Goal is to reach one mile, and on the second lesson, I was just shy of it. Just more practice and less Starbucks before training.

Thanks, great site.

Hello DKN83,
Would you please list all that was used on this build. It is very cool and would like to build one similar. Much appreciated.

Thank you JR
Hi, its an original G28 from HK, bought as it is. Removed the aimpoint though. I dont think you can get the steel upper in the US?

You could buy an MR308, cerakote the upper and buy the optics set. The optic set alone is around 12 000 Euros these days, thats more than i payed for the whole rifle including supressor...if youre still interested in the components let me know and i will list everything you could buy from Hk.

The thermal is an EAW Fokus HD50. I have a NSV600 aswell.

Hello,
Thank you. Headed to the store today to see about getting it built. Absolutely looks great and fun.

Jr
Curious, what "store" is going to build out a $10K+ rifle with parts impossible to find? They might take your money, but it'll be a long time before you see a finished product. You're better off trying to source the parts for yourself and once you have them, send them off for a build.

Sorry, I meant to say, build simialr with items able to purchase on the market, if not source. Building a 10K+ is not the problem as they have built a few 10+ rifles already for me. I just thought the look of yours was really cool and looks fun to shoot. Thakn you for your time,
Hi,

The reply wasnt from me but another user😉

Its pretty heavy and the trigger is terrible 🤣
I got lucky with the offer and jumped in. The rifle was unshot and it kinda looked cool as you said. It is very accurate aswell.

I will list everything for you this evening. Just note those will be links to german shops.

Thanks again for the details. I have actually lucked out. He has the HK rifle in stock. So a good start. Since you did not care for the trigger, is there a suggested upgrade you prefer. Thank you
Which one does he stock?

I left it the way it was since i wanted to use it the way it is issued. Right now it works ok for me. Still terrible to switch from my TRG to the G28🫣

In germany people used to switch to Uhl triggers for the HKs. They are now called wnptac or something like that.

Edit: Almost🫣😄
