I would like to get in touch with SH member(s) who live in Farmington Hills, MI, or reasonably close, and own M1 or M14 or better, both rifles. I'm in the process of developing a torque tool with 140 inch-lbs. torque setting for LMT, but it seems like the same tool will work for controlled tightening of gas plug, used in "target grade" or even standard issue M1 and M14 rifles. Would like to check out clearances on actual rifle, to make sure LMT tool will fit under the barrel of M1 or M14, and test the sample of tool which I have in my possession.
