Does anyone have any information about an Accuracy International stock that was being considered for the M24?
Yes. 50 were made for Socom mid 2ks. They were more than considered, they were and are still used. Both down range and in Schoolhouse/Comp settings.Does anyone have any information about an Accuracy International stock that was being considered for the M24?

Does
Accuracy International stopped making any new legacy AICS chassis years ago, much less a “special” version they only ever made 50 of. So… no.Does AI offer them commercially?
I had one of those stocks and I really didn't like it much. It was indeed a special version because it still used the AE 5rd magazine that is/was used in the M24A2. For me the stock just wasn't comfortable to use or carry. Granted the butt could be folded but that was small consolation for me. There was very little technical advantage with it.Does anyone have any information about an Accuracy International stock that was being considered for the M24?
Registered mail is slow and extremely secure. Each time the package is touched its logged. It goes into a safe or secure area when not in transit. Most likely there has been no one available to move your package. I have shipped 59k in gold coins this way. It took 2 weeks to go from coast to coast. Tracking delivery estimate does not work with this very well. Its really only good to see where it is.I haven't seen or heard of a registered package being completely lost forever. Delayed yes, extremely delayed defiantly yes.
Like Sinister said go to your local post office with your receipt and tracking number and have them put a tracer on it.
This is spot on. It’s completely manual in its point to point movement within postal buildings, unlike standard packages that move on mechanical sorters. So it’s likely sitting in a secure storage area pending whoever needs to physically move it arriving to sign it over, move it, and log the movement. Could be that guy is in vacation this week.Registered mail is slow and extremely secure. Each time the package is touched its logged. It goes into a safe or secure area when not in transit. Leupold Mark 4 2-Piece Base Remington 700 Long Action Models, Right Hand, Matte Finish PN#61983I just read this whole thread and I didn’t see much about the 2 piece bases maybe I missed it. What is the part number for them. I am assuming they are Leupold.
That picture got me thinking, and it looks like the gunbroker seller has a pair of front bases listed, not a front and rear. Hole spacing should be different between the two, and in the picture they aren’t.Leupold Mark 4 2-Piece Base Remington 700 Long Action Models, Right Hand, Matte Finish PN#61983
These require 8-40 threaded reciever holes
I talked with Badger Ordinance about them when I was starting to collect parts for an A2 build. BO told me that the PRI mounts are about an 80% copy of their design.Look at what the nice people at Sunnyhill shipped me…. View attachment 8394126
With that said, 2 questions.
1. Does anyone have the dimensions for the RPA front sight mounting block (How far should it sit compared to the end of the barrel?) I see the dimensions in the thread but are the redfields mounted the same as the RPA? Do you think any decent smith can mount it or do I need a specialist?
2. How close are the PRI made rails to Remington MARs rails? They look extremely similar, but winder if they are functional.
Im kicking it around. It wont be 100 percent. Receiver, stock trigger, and floorplate are correct. Building a clone, i miss my asa rifle lol.Do you need a mars rail? I have one I was going to throw on the PX soon if so
Ordered, thank you for the linkYou can still get the m24 followers from gun repair center on gunbroker. They want like $50 though.
They also have Remington m24 bolts
Thanks for the offer Coejro, I appreciate it. I have one that came with the receiver (No bolt but recoil lug wtf lol). I'm still deciding on whether to use it or the 40a3 spec lug. Catch 22 lol@TurdFerguson i have an extra Remington factory recoil lug if you want a spec one for your build.
Is there any more info about the Rangers converting some to 300 win mag.I should also say that I don't have any info on possible additional purchases of M24 made by the US Army after 1998. I do know that after 1998, the US Air Force got a number of M24 systems but not sure how many.
Another caveat, the 75th Ranger Regiment evidently converted some of their M24s to .300 Win Mag in 1992 outside of normal Army channels, as I understand it, and they got in trouble for it.
Need more info about the hand load. It could be loaded a little too long.Does anyone shoot hand loads out of an M24 or do the rifles like factory loads only? I ask because I tried to shoot a hand load this weekend, and I couldn’t get the bolt locked in the whole way.
You probably need to bump the case shoulder back. Do it a little at a time so that it just fits nice. I primarily shoot handloads from mine and I have it down to less than .4 MOA at 800m and about .4-.5 MOA out to 1000m.Does anyone shoot hand loads out of an M24 or do the rifles like factory loads only? Well the dies I use are Redding match Neck Only resizing dies. Do a little reading about Neck Sizing dies and the bushings they use which are a separate purchase from the dies. There are some videos, (DVDs) that can walk you through the whole process of match reloading. I can't remember at present whether mine is a Redding or Sierra DVD but it taught me just about everything I needed to know. Most of the equipment and tools I use are the same as those on the Army Marksmanship Unit reloading bench. Usually you buy 3 bushings to bracket the size you settle on which will change over time as the case neck wears. Once you have your shoulders bumped back so the bolt will close, and you fire the reload, the case is fire formed to the chamber. It will take very little sizing for future loads so long as you only use that brass for that rifle. There is a very minor difference in the chambers of my M24 and my M24A2 so I can get away with shooting those rounds in both rifles. I cannot use brass from my M110 or M14 without going through the sizing process we've been discussing.@1968 The case measured length was 2.001, and the final overall length was 2.786. I’m using Barnes 168gr TTSX BT (Because they were on sale and my LGS was out of SMK).
@eodsix How much to a time? As I said in another thread, this is my first foray into match ammo reloading.
@mjh30 the brass is once fired FGGM.
