Question for you guys that are using a flushing system, has anybody come up with a system to use for a lathe with a very shallow drip pan that isnt suitable for a coolant system? like a homeade jury rigged drip pan or something of the sort. I know it would be a little messy buy might be worth trying if possible. Any pics would be appreciated or tell me im nuts and to keep doing it the same way I have been.

thanks,

Re: barrel flushing question

Make a small rectangular pan that sits on top of or between the ways. Position the pan so that it catches the oil/ coolant as it comes out of the barrel. Put a drain won the pan with a tube that goes back to the coolant tank
