Barrel Question..

I have a extra Howa model 1500 long action laying around and I was wondering if I could mount say a standard remington 700 30-06 barrel in it? is this possible or do i need to stick with a Howa/other model 1500 barrels?

Howa actions are metric threads, Remingtons are standard. No go on that combo. Get a Howa take-off barrel, I see them on GunBroker.
