Has anyone taken a Bighorn or Surgeon and opened up the flutes to make them more like a Remington Ti bolt? Looked for pictures, but just can't find anything.

Thanks...

It;s a hunting rifle. I want to make it a touch lighter and like the look of deeper fluted bolts. Already using a Carbon Fiber stock and barrel. Haven't made up my mind on which action....either a Defiance Rebel Hunter, with integral recoil lug, or a Lone Peak Fuzion Ti.

Between those two I'd go with a Lone Peak. Also Impact is coming out with a titanium action.

You would save so little weight by doing this you could save more weight by loading one less round in the mag.
