So I've used the nifty search feature and have found no mention of this stock(Blackhawk Axiom U/L Stock) I'm curious if anybody has had any negative experiences with it..the price point is a little more agreeable for my wife (yes I'm whipped but she makes more money than I do) My father in law just gave me a .308win Rem 700SPS Tactical and for some reason it's got the SPS varmint stock on it which needs to go very soon...thanks for the input

Re: Blackhawk Axiom U/L Stock

Doesnt look like it would ride a rear bag very well.

If mid - 200's is your price point you might be able to find an HS Precision take-off stock if your patient.

Is there anything that drew you to this stock other than price?

Re: Blackhawk Axiom U/L Stock

well on thing that drew me to it is that it's different than what everyone else has, I know people run what works, but I figured I'd like to run something that works and something that's different than what every other dude at the range is using

ok upon further research I can find a decent B&C tactical stock or even an HS for not much more money...thanks for the advice

Re: Blackhawk Axiom U/L Stock

Price points are only a matter of how long you are willing to save up for something. Sure you may only be able to spend $200 at this very moment. But why not save up for another 6 months to a year and get what you really want. That said, i definitely would not go the Blackhawk route for the rifle stock.

Re: Blackhawk Axiom U/L Stock

Father in law has one. He got it because he didn't like the recoil on his 300 RUM.

The recoil reducing ability of it works but it seems not to work as well if you are shooting off a bench or shooting prone off concrete.

You cannot get a stockpack on it to where it will stay put. The whole stock is some sort of composite/plastic; it looks and feels really cheap.
