A friend of mine just bought a Remington. 308 tactical. Bolt action. He is wanting to change the 3 rd internal magazine out for a 10 rd. I am just wondering if it is possible and if so what needs to be done.
thanks guys

Re: bolt action add a mag

There are many options for DBM, but for internal not so much. The 308 should hold 4 in the internal mag.

I did get one of these for my 223 http://www.tacticalworks.com/Remington-MAG-XTENDER-Short-Action.html

Now before anyone pushes me off the roof, yes it is a $20 piece of injected plastic, but if your friend can breath and chew gum at the same time he should be able to get it to hold 6 rounds of 308. Just gonna have to do some minor filing to fit it, as they are big on the tolerances to allow proper fitment.

Or he can get the CDI installed and fitted to use AI mags.

Re: bolt action add a mag

Just a direct swap, probably not but if he's willing to spend some money, go with a PTG setup around 125 bucks for the bottom metal....they use the AI mags.

Re: bolt action add a mag

Check out the Hooper Ordinance dbm. I think they are drop in fit.

Re: bolt action add a mag

I have a Wyatt bottom metal with 5rd mags. I haven't shot it yet, but it was a drop in to a B&C stock and it seems to feed fine as well.
