PLEASE READ:
Guys, unfortunately a Hide Member recently had a problem with the treatment his return shipping box received at the hands of the USPS.
Even with most of the cases contained in separate Lapua boxes, more than two dozen cases were ruined. The now-softer necks were smashed.
I try to ensure the case's bags are cushioned with bubble wrap or packing peanuts as the less they move around the less in-bag banging around they'll experience.
However, we're seeing that if the number of cases so fills the box that a sufficient amount of cushioning material can't be placed between the walls of the box,
they are exposed to a crushing force, which will damage the mouths. These boxes aren't very rigid, please use only NEW boxes if you can.
Going forward, it may cost another $5 or so to use the next-size box, but it would be best to use one large enough to include enough packing material to safeguard your cases. You can get bubble-wrap and packing fill at any office-supply store (Staples, etc)
Large orders of the big cases may require two boxes. Use your best judgement.
On my end, if I feel a larger box is necessary to safely return ship the cases I'll let you guys know.
If anyone would prefer to use FedEx or UPS, I'm happy to accommodate that as well.
Thanks and enjoy your Summer,
Bob
