Anyone got one, or an original AR180? How do you like it?
Ive always wondered why the AR18/180 kinda flopped military-wise, yet went on to inspire basically every short stroke piston rifle out there today..?? They seem to have been a great alternative to the popular FAL's and G3's, and at a good bit lower price than AR15's/M16's..

I have an original 180 w/factory scope mount, and I love it!
I'm seriously looking at the BRN180 so that I can preserve my original, and have decades of support for the new upper. If I do get one, I'll have to get the LAW Tactical folding stock kit too.

No reason to spend the extra coin on a law folder. Any folding adapter will work and quite a bit less. Off the top of my head, MDT & SB Tactical have good options.

I haven't seriously looked into it yet because I'm too wrapped up in other projects right now. One thing that is vital, is that it fold to the left side. I know that there are folding kits out there that fold the wrong way, and that simply won't do.

ACE (Doublestar) has a skeleton stock. their hinge can be set up to fold either left or right. JMHO, best to get the steel setup (hinge, AR receiver block) with the "boss". The mounting boss helps to keep things aligned.

Don't need LAW if no reciprocating buffer.
Thanks!
I've just peeked into it and found them for $119.49 everywhere. That's about $100 less than the LAW.
