You may have seen this in places like the Washington Post; they do some fact checking and they award "Pinocchios" depending on how deceitful the claims are. If you are lying without reservation (according to their version of the facts of course) they give you four Pinocchios.
I was thinking we need to update this with a new system created by conservatives. Instead of Pinocchios I think we award Pinochets. If your statement (or entire candidacy as a politician) is mildly left wing, you get one Pinochet. If you are a unabashed commie going full Marx your candidacy or your statement gets four Pinochets. If you get four Pinochets you are a died in the wool commie and you get a complimentary helicopter ride.
