I have this stock for my Mauser VZ 24 it has two cracks in them but they look like they have been repaired quite well. Thoughts on will they hurt accuracy of the rifle. Don't know if it matters but it is a 30-06. Any thoughts would be appreciative.

Re: Cracked Stock

Seen that. Done that. Tried the repairs. Unless the stock is a 00000++++ walnut...put it in the fireplace and get a good replacement. They never shoot as good as before the crack in my experience. Now..if you want to shoot good...do as suggested. If you don't care, rebed and fire away. JMHO

Re: Cracked Stock

Try Numrich Arms/Gun Part Corp., West Hurley, NY, for an exact original replacement. They have a lot of parts. Maybe they'll have yours too.

Re: Cracked Stock

The repairs are intact there is no flex in either of them. The gun came with two stocks the old wood one and a B&C synthetic that is really cheap. So I figured I would try the wood one so I do not know how it shoots with the wood stock. Thanks Greg for the shop I will take a look at it.
