If anybody has any doubt that Georgia Arms' new 185gr .45 ACP JHPs have any problem expanding should take a look at the round that's on my counter. It was taken out of my siding. I broke up with my girlfriend today and she decided to commit suicide over it. Luckily she failed and only managed to shatter her clavicle. Needless to say, I'm pretty upset. I have to go down to the sheriff's office tomorrow and see about getting my gun back. I never saw this happening.

Yeah lets see some pics - the bullet before/after. The entry/exit wound. The girlfriend pre-attempt/Post-attempt. You know all the normal stuff a post like this would yield....

I have to disagree with a few folks here. The fact that after Devilrob breaks up with his GF, and she then tries to whack herself, shows that this was a crazy bitch and he is better off without that liability.
I went through a similar circumstance, and believe me, he is better off without her, and I TOTALLY understand his attitude.

I think the primary issue is, why in the world could a crazy (ex)GF have access to his guns? I would prevent that just for the sake of self preservation.

You would be VERY suprised to learn that MOST women when attempting suicide are VERY reluctant to shoot themselves in the head.
The almost ALWAYS go for a center mass/heart shot... Most are soo concerned with there looks that head shots are NOT attempted.
And.. YES... i have worked my fair share of them as LEO..

To the OP - I get it. Be smart, you're makin tracks - keep making tracks for the rest of your life - do not hang around this gal b/c she will pull you and any future children under the fuckin bus - know it.
Aside from that, learn some social graces - knock a few edges off the account so as not to upset all manner of folk. When you tell this story again - say it was 5 yrs ago, you gracefully exited the relationship after doing what you could reasonably do to get her some help; when pressed - your contact has been spotty but you have always wished her the best and kept her in your prayers - then segue back into the massive mushroom effect of the round.
