Hey Guys,

R700 w/ 20" barrel
139SST
44.0 gr IMR 4064
FED210 primer
OAL 2.780"
Velocity: 2840 FPS

Im using this bullet just because my local shop had alot of them and they are deadly on game.
90% of my shooting is between 600 and 700 yds and that 139sst gets blown around quite a bit.

What kind of bullets/loads are you guys using in your guns?

I get good results with the 162 A-Max. From a 22" barrel with Aliant PP2000MR I'm getting just under 2600fps. I've been thinking of trying the 154gr SST for a little more velocity. My max range available is about 700yds.

Second the 140 gr Berger. Have shot my 7mm-08 out to half mile with a stock Winchester model 70 extreme weather SS. Able to hit 6" plate at 875. The wind does very little to these. I run varget behind mine.

Nosler brass neck sized .oo3
140 accubonds
Federal larger rifle primer
IMR 4350 45.5 grains
Remington 24 inch barrel
Vol. 2680

This gun will shoot .56 all daylong @ 100 and holds under 6 inches @ 550 yards

162amax and 162hpbt are a tough act to follow for a 708 out to 1000 yards. They can generally be pushed to ~2750-2850 depending on barrel length,, charge and COAL.

If you're willing to deal with a VLD, the 168 berger is fabulous.

I haven't tried the 175smk in 708 yet but run it exclusively in my 284, and it is excellent. I've read reports it can be flung ~50fps slower than a 162. If true, it will be pretty much unbeatable.

162 amax for me, @2850fps
I've also used about x500 175 SMK's, accuracy was outstanding, but could only get them to 2650fps within my highest accuracy node before pressure.

The faster 162 amax slightly outperforms the 175 smk at my velocities,
But would recommend either bullet. Assuming your twist can handle the 175's. :)
