29 Shooters came out on a beautiful day with end of match temperatures in the low 70’s.

The shooting picked up right where January left off with 4- 200’s shot during the match. 1 in Prone, 1 in F-Open and 2 in FTR.

On the Prone side we had 6 competitors with Bill Jenkins taking the win with a 593-23x. Bill posted one of the 200’s today. Robert Bose took first in the combined Master and Expert class.

F-Open saw 10 shooters with Sam Entrican taking the win with a 597-33X. Sam also posted one of the 200’s shot today. First High Master went to Gerald Boudreaux who shot a 591-27X. The combined Master/Master Unclassified/Expert win went to Jim Gleason with a 579-20X.

FTR had 13 shooters with Craig Martin from the Master ranks winning overall with a 596-22X. Craig contributed to the 200’s with one. First High Master went to John Bishop with a 589-25X. Chris Hebert took the win in the combined Master/Master Unclassified/Expert/Marksman group posting a High Master 589-25X as well as shooting another of the 200’s. Rick Stewart from the Expert class took 2nd with a High Master score of 588-20X.

Thanks to all who came out, especially our friends from Mississippi, Florida, Alabama and Texas who make the drive over each month to shoot. It is appreciated.

A special thanks to Glenn Padgett for helping to run the line and the pits today.

Don’t forget about the Regional Match in April and State Match in October. Information and SR-1’s can be found on the Palo Alto Website. Palo Alto Rifle and Pistol Club

Thanks again and we’ll see you next month,
Rick, Mickey and Vaughn

If i see any Varget around i'll let you know, with the 168 Hybrids I think H4895 will work well, maybe even better than Varget.........Good luck!

co-worker happened to stroll into Louisiana Reloading Supply here in Baton Rouge. He bought me 2lbs (limit), and picked me up another 2lbs the next morning. i havne't been able to go check it out myself so i'm sure it's out (it's been 2 days but i'm gonna give it another shot tomorrow to pick up anything that's left).

I've had product notifications with MidwayUSA, Natchez, and Powder Valley for 1lb and 8lb jugs and haven't so much as sniffed a notification since March of last year...i was soo excited when he came across those!

Hey guys, (question) How many matches till you get rank from NRA ?
or explane how the whole thing works

thx

2- 60 shot matches will do it. It's an aggregate of 120 shots.

After that, your classification is based on a rolling 120 shot score. That's why many times you see a person go up in class after a 2 day match. That's because it's turned in as an aggregate 120 shots. So they can have an off day and a really good day and it blends together.

Hey jade , yeah I got the LAST 4 pounds , I was on a job and Shawn called me and said that he just happen t be there when they where stocking varget and Better get powder fast because he seen the employees jack about 20#

so he got 3 pounds I got 4 and shelves where empty

I know those guys shoot varget so why don't just order for employees and public ?

Anyway I thought that was pretty shitty but it's a shitty time to locate stuff

I thought the scare would be letting up by now but guess not
