OK so I bought FFS(delta v) and have started to play with it. WOW what a program. Lots of functionality and adjustments, lots of data that can be input. Im running a nomad, kestrel linked in via BT and inputing range and bearing with a vectronix C model. Most of the regular balistics are pretty straight forward, its the targeting and FFP stuff that has a lot more functionality than I thought. So I searched on here and didnt really find any in depth thread about FFS and thought maybe some of us that have it could share what your favorite and least favorite things are associated with FFS? and Tips or tricks you have found in the software?

I have used FFS in the past, until I switched over to Coldbore 1.0, Don't liked much the interface. Have you checked the manual and the online tutorials? it's worth your time, at least to give you a fast look of features and how to use most of them, including the GPS stuff.

The Online video tutorials for FFS are worth watching. I wish Coldbore had videos like FFS as both programs are not what I'd call "easy to use" right out of the box, there is a decent learning curve even if you take the time and read the instruction manuals.

Are you talking about using things like target groups and creating a range card using the Vectronix? Did you get a data cable or you want to use BT?

The manual is very extensive and what I did was sit down and played with the features that I specifically wanted to learn. There are so many functions you could not learn it all in one sitting.

Yes i have been watching the tutorials and reading a lot in the manual. The tutorials are really good and kind of fast tracked me through getting the kestrel and plrf hooked up. im trying to really wrap my head around all of the targetting stuff now. one questions i have is it seams like once i have a bunch of targets and then those are in a named group. to delete those i have to go in and delete one at a time. pressing clear in the targetting menue doesnt actually delete the files. Also it seams like it lets me name some targets the exact same as others? not sure about that yet either.

ramius - yes i got a data cable with remote trigger. it works great. coming from a iphone app, this saftware is way way ahead in its abilities...
