Middle 'Merica!
I have owned M9s over the years, various models, styles, etc. I've shot Uncle Sam's old and busted, and Wilson's new hotness models, etc. I had gotten out of Beretta M9s, but was intrigued when I heard Earnie Langdon had come out with one in partnership with Beretta and so I bought his 92 Elite LTT with his trigger work.

I have used and shot dozens of makes and models of handguns over the years and I've long gotten over "fan boy" reactions to the newest model handgun, or gizmo, or "upgrade" or whatever. I shoot them all competently, some better than others, and have mostly Glocks becuse they are ... Glocks.

So, I decided I wanted to get myself a really nice M9 again and chose Langdon's model of the 92.

Well ... ASTOUNDING ... probably because I had not shot a DA/SA with a superb trigger group in it for a very long time I was doubly impressed. Langdon's work on this model of the M2 is simply nothing short of amazing. I mean. Really. Amazing. I've had one of Wilson's brigadier tactical, but this is, in my opinion, significant better. Better feel, better balance and superior trigger.

The double action is smooth as butter and the single action is simply amazing.

I put the first magazine in it, a 20 round MecGar and stood at 7 yards and gave myself 30 seconds on the clock to put all 20 in the black of a B8 target circle. I was not sure what to expect, but the sight picture is fantastic, nice and crisp and the front fiber optic, thin like I like my front sight post and the more narrow rear sight opening, with plenty of daylight, really allows for fantastic accuracy. I squeezed off all 20 rounds in 22 seconds and here is the result.

I'm very pleased, to say the least, and look forward to putting many more rounds through it.

Pics???

I have a friend that used a Beretta with upgraded sights at the American Handgunner World Shootoff many years ago. It was a soft shooting pistol for sure and accurate enough.

Fun story... while watching the Beretta guy I mentioned, and my other friend from our same city, he using a Glock, shooting off against each other on the very last stage for first place in C stock division.

The following happened;
Friend with Beretta had gotten to the stop plate first, he emptied the mag at it and didn't hit it, to all bystanders amazement, especially me. My other friend caught up and knocked his popper down, therefore winning C stock division.

Disgusted friend and I go back to motel to get our stuff, he strips his Beretta, and of all things to happen, the locking block broke in two, at what seems like the worst timing ever possible. This is a 100% true story!

How's that for "gun" drama!!! I of course had to hear about it all the way home, lol.

Unforgettable.

Carry on

Your photos don't show. I wish we could nail down the common cause of that so everyone could get it fixed, but there doesn't appear to be a common theme of why that is. :(

Weird.

Here is a link to the photo. Does this work? It's just a picture of the 20 round grouping on the target.

THAT one shows, yes sir. Now where's the gun porn?! :p

I have a serious love affair with the M9/92FS platform. I'm currently without one in the safe, purely because of my long-range addiction (sold them all off to afford my current rigs). However, at one point, I had the following, all at the same time:

1) 92G Elite Gen I
2) 92G Elite Gen II
3) 92FS full Inox/"Ghost Gun"
4) 96G Elite Gen I
5) 92FS Compact
6) 92FS Compact Type M

I fully intend to have another Elite II and Type M at some point. A Wilson Combat 92G Compact, Brig Tac, and Centurion may find their way onto the list also. In case you couldn't tell, I much prefer the G model, but will make an exception for the Type M and another possible full Inox at some point.

Shot a 3 gun match with Ernest in my squad a few years back he ran one of his infamous 92FS pistols and man oh man that thing was sweet. Made me feel like throwing my Glock 17 into a creek.
