I am headed to pick up Cascade MC in a few hours. My check was cashed on 28 May and my dealer got the form 4 in Saturday 31 July, really quick turn around for the ATF.

Just FYI, but my former employer just got back a stack of approved Form 4s last Thursday. They were all individual transfers that were sent into ATF between mid January and mid February. Examiner was Nancy Flanigan on all the transfers.

Wow 7-8 months door to door? That is beginning to approach some of the horror stories I heard happened in the early 90's. I sure hope the rest of your trust transfers hurry up and go through!

Sent in my complete form 4 on 4/27/10 picked up my hardware on 8/3/10, my dealer told me it would take 90-120 days, he was correct.

Errrrrr! Code of compliance sheet misteriously vanished. BATFE sent new one to fill out how great . Now more time waiting!

In WA state we almost have to do a trust,never heard of the Chief LEO signing off on one for a civilian,nor have the 2 SOT dealers I use.Can guys in other states do the same and bypass the finger print,photo,LE permission,etc ? I did one on a trust last year and it only took 9 weeks and seemed hassle free,at least as far as dealing with the Feds goes.

How are you guys checking status? I called the other day just to see if it was at least pending and to find out who was processing the form, and so then the lady on the phone says that your form dosent show up in the system till 60 days after the check is cashed.
Not a huge deal as it seems the majority of them are coming back within 60-70 days.

I think most people just call about once a month. When I called for the first time, it was about 4 days after the form was approved and she just told me the date of approval.

They "approved" it without a stamp, sent it back to my dealer and had me change the reason for owning. They even told me what to put on the form. Not too bad an experience.

Just my luck....
After 2 weeks I hadnt seen my check clear the bank from the ATF so I went back and checked my postal reciept. I sent the paperwork priority mail with tracking guaranteed to be there in 2 days. Checked the tracking number and found that it got lost in the mail. It did finally arrive 15 days late. Went to the post office and they refunded the cost of shipping for it being late. Hopefull now I can expect the check to clear anytime. Just caused a 2 week delay right out of the box.....Keep your reciepts.

I got in on the GemTech promotion..don't recall the exact month May?????;
Got my $$$ to my FFL a GemTech Vendor as per his instruction. He mailed payment to GemTech.
A guess on my part:
Apparently the payment came in after the deadline but the Post Mark on the check preceeded the deadline, and there may have been a in-the-mail glich.

MAY JUNE JULY.....
NFA did not get payment until August 4th. Paperwrk did not get entered into NFA books until August 30th.
My SandStorm won't get released for ANOTHER ""4 MONTHS FROM AUG 30TH"" as per Nicole at the NFA.....
7 MONTHS......... ...this was a real <span style="font-style: italic">gem</span> of Customer Service!
I got in on the GemTech promotion..don't recall the exact month May?????;
Got my $$$ to my FFL a GemTech Vendor as per his instruction. He mailed payment to GemTech.
A guess on my part:
Apparently the payment came in after the deadline but the Post Mark on the check preceeded the deadline, and there may have been a in-the-mail glich.
