If you’re over a year and you’ve left messages for your examiner several times and haven’t heard back then call and ask for your examiner supervisor.
Got a can out of jail today, 5/7/19. Check cashed 5/11/18. Four days short of one year.
I called three weeks ago and a guy told me mine was processing witch has a check cashed date of 6-1-18 .I called Friday and was answered by a woman and she would only say pending. I asked if there was any info she could give me she said no. I believe it is stupid to have to wait for something that is harmless that reduces harm to yourself what a bunch of fucking idiots that set this up .they will always be idiots that work in our government .
They wouldn’t even provide me an examiner name. Simply that it was “still pending”. Check was cashed July 15th, 2018.
I finally picked up my suppressor yesterday 05.08.2019!!! After calling the FBI NICS division and pleading my case to a gal that understood tax stamps and background checks my form 4 individual application was officially signed by the ATF Examiner on 04.23.2019. Once my dealer received it my 4473 paperwork got a delay status so I had to wait another 3 full business days. I even used my UPIN to prevent delays.

3-13-19 Fix it letters received for 2 error's, one from my FFL one from my lawyer on my trust.
3-21-19 letters returned
5-08-19 talked with my examiner who sent the correction letters and she informed me I was cleared and stamps were going out

this is for 2 cans on a single RP trust
On a side not I asked my examiner what the wait times are for Form 1 e-file and she said 30 days or less!

My check was cashed 01.16.2018.
I actually purchased my can summer of 2017 when that dealer was calling quits on selling suppressors. Then they had to do their paperwork to transfer it to my actual dealer up the road would then do the actual form 4 paperwork which also took months.

Had 2 forms sent in for same suppressor. Dont knw why, or what. So had a ck cashed on 4/4/18, and 7/2/18. Only charged once, don't knw how that happens. Called on Monday to see if everything got straightened out. Was told, yes! But, still pending. Got a call yesterday that my paperwork arrived (FORM 4). So now a happy camper. Looks good I think, lol.

I made a total of ten purchases last year. At the beginning of this month I picked up four suppressors. I got the call today, for the remaining six.

You got lucky and they went to an examiner that had a bunch of your old ones too and pushed them through. I’ve been seeing this happen lately and it happens to me as well.
Have you made any queries besides calling the ATF? Such as congressional action? Is there anything in your background that would raise a red flag?
You also have my sympathies. With a clean record; waiting more than a year is BS. Waiting for something that is a right at all is BS.
How long is it typically taking for them to just cash the check? Submitted my individual form 4 on 4/18/19.
Did you mail it to Atlanta or the new Oregon address?
They are supposed to overnight all forms to the new address until May 1st. That said, cashing the check is done by a bank and sometimes it gets delayed even though the forms are forwarded on to the ATF for processing. I have read of checks that were never even cashed and the Form 4 was still approved.
New Oregon address I'm sure. My dealer is the one that mailed it out, but he is fully aware that they are in Oregon now.
i seen a shop post on fb yesterday that they "expedited" a mil guys form 4s for him since he was gonna pcs in a couple months. he showed pics of the stamps returned in under 3 mo. anyone ever heard of that?
It took about 2 weeks for them to cash my latest stamp. Mailed 4-30-2019. Cashed 5-16-2019.
I contacted a supervisor there and she apologized for the wait, said everything was in order and I should have approval in the next couple weeks. I have a clean record with no red flags. This will be my 4th suppressor. Every one has been 13 months minimum.
Called again, told pending. Asked average wait time. Nine months. I'm almost at that 9 month mark of you subtract the government shut down.

I went to the shop where I ordered the silencer and he said it could take up to 60 days to see the check get cashed. So I have a little over 3 weeks to wait, after which I guess it's time to make calls...
the wait is always the hardest part , good luck hope it's not going to take much longer

Check cashed 10/03/18. Guess I have a while to wait given what you guys are reporting. I called my FFL and he said most are around 8 months but a handful of them have been around a year. Guess I keep on waiting.
