Suppressors HELP ...whaddya think of this hypothetic scenario.

PLEASE NOT THE NUMBERS ARE NOT NECESSARLIY FACT just curious in the reasoning process ...if it makes sense:

.22 Standard velocity ammo 1150 (approx)out with a 5.5" +++ barrel.


Cutting the barrel length: to A) to 1-inch length, then threaded for my Suppressor or to B) to 2-inch length, then threaded for my Supressor.

A) approx velocity loss 100fps.
A) 1150-100 = 1050 fps..... SUBSONIC, Almost Subsonic....!?

B) a velocity loss 75 Fps.
B) 1150-75 = 1075 fps...Subsonic, almost subsonic...!?


---Right?

---Sorta Right?

---Possible...but?

As far as I understand your "reasoning", yes. Decrease the barrel, decrease the velocity. I know I use a P22 with standard high velocity and RARELY have a round go supersonic..
