@ 100 meters how many clicks do I need to move exactly
1cm @ 100 meters ? 29.6/30 clicks?

please recommend who to ask i am new here and dont know were to ask.

Re: How many clicks does it take to get to the center?

In metric units 1 MOA at 100 meters = 2.908 centimeters. Three clicks for you = 1.09 centimeters. If the .09 matters, you're way better than me.

Re: How many clicks does it take to get to the center?

1 MOA at 100 meters = 2.908 cm
1/8 MOA at 100 meters = 0.3635 cm
1 cm at 100 meters = 2.75 x 1/8 MOA clicks.
Since you can't have in between clicks you have to round up to 3 clicks.

Re: How many clicks does it take to get to the center?

To convert from yards to meters
you multiply your yards by 1.0936133

3.62 x 1.0936133 = 3.9588
3.96 is close enough

0.1 MIL = 1 cm @ 100 meters
3.96 MIL = 39.6 cm @ 100 meters
3.96 MIL = 120 1/8 MOA clicks @ 100 metters

15 MOA 1 revolution = 120 1/8 MOA clicks = 39.6cm @ 100 m
5 rev of 120 clicks = 600 1/8 MOA clicks = 198cm @ 100 m
or
1 MOA = 2.90833334cm @ 100 meters.
15 MOA 1 revolution = 120 1/8 MOA clicks = 43.6335cm @ 100 m
5 rev of 120 clicks = 600 1/8 MOA clicks = 218.1675cm @ 100 m

0.33636125 cm @ 100 meters = 1 1/8 MOA click.
1 cm @ 100 meters = 2.75 1/8 MOA clicks.
1.09 cm @ 100 meters = 3 1/8 MOA clicks.

1 1/8 MOA click = 0.33636125 cm @ 100 meters.
2.75 1/8 MOA clicks = 1 cm @ 100 meters.
3 1/8 MOA clicks = 1.09 cm @ 100 meters.

Is this all this correct?
what is incorrect ?

i'm getting different answers from different sources

can anyone else contribute ...

Re: How many clicks does it take to get to the center?

I'm going to tell you something you may not want to hear.

The absolute easiest way to figure this out is to go and shoot the rifle. Set up a target at 100 meters and shoot a group.

Run your elevation turret "up" one full revolution.

Shoot another group.

Measure the difference in POI center to center on the group.

Convert that measurement from inches to centimeters.

Divide that by 120 and it gives you the "click" value of your turrets in CM.

Example: 1 revolution gives you exactly 15" in POI.

multiply inches by 2.54 to convert to CM = 38.1cm or 3.81MIL

It's just that easy. And making multiple posts on this same question is a violation of the forum rules.

Re: How many clicks does it take to get to the center?

One other perspective...

This is why many here suggest matching units for the reticle and knobs. No conversion, cm/inches whatever.

Assuming you're roughly zero'd, place a shot on the target with all the fundamentals of marksmanship. If your POI is off, lets say .3 Mil High, and .1 left...You can tell because the ruler is in front of your eyeball, your elevation and windage are in the same units MIL in this case, or MOA whatever floats your boat.

You can convert that to inches if you want to but why? Just dial the correction your reticle is showing you, or hold it off and send the next round to confirm.

Thank you (thespecialist) your advice was very informative
except for

My question is not the same in the posts
Thay are similar and I am hoping to get as much information as possible and post it so that others will learn as well,
I think that is the main reason why most people here on SnipersHide are here for, to learn and discuss new technology, tactics, technique ext.

+2 This is the way to go. You shouldn't think inches anyways.

According to Mr. Owl, it takes 3.

Oh, I'm sorry, I though you said "licks". Were you talking about rifle scopes?
