Apple is now offering free cases to its iPhone 4 customers in compensation for their shitty antenna design.
Refunds for those who already bought bumpers.

Rubber bands and duct still free in other outlets.

That's the X. They didn't do that with mine.
I'm glad I didn't hold out for the X.

I would expect the backlash to put a stop to that insanity pretty quickly.
There's even some talk of lawsuits.

Everyone knows the reason LL has no issues with the iPhone antennae is because his little hands can't fully cover it. It does make for a TINY problem when attempting to hold it...apparently.

At least Android didn't INTENTIONALLY modify the algorithm used by the phones to display the reception or number of 'bars' to make users think they were getting better reception to make up for AT&T's shitty coverage (Remind me who did that again? Oh yeah, Apple). Whenever I talk to my friends with Android based phones... no problems (likely the Verizon system and not the hardware but for this discussion we'll go with phones since you're attacking actual phones) yet I can't maintain a conversation with my friends who have an iPhone if lives depended on it. This is pretty consistent across the board and why I'm quickly un-friending all the people who have them. Too much of a strain on our relationship. lol

Because despite the media hype it works exactly like it is supposed too...I got the bumper right off the bat, and it works like it should. Even without the bumpers I can't get the signal to drop touching it over the seam.

So, while some may have an issue, my iPhone rocks, looks cool and syncs with my Macs doing everything I need it too.

Any time there is an issue with the signal you can usually trace it to ATT... but I found leaving it on the Edge network and off the 3G it works great as a phone. It's the gray areas of the 3G network that drop the calls.

I don't think so.
I like the idea of being able to load different UI's and switch back and forth between them in a matter of minutes.
I like free software from developers, like the free wifi tethering app I just installed.
I like being able to control my phones CPU to increase performance or to extend battery life.

I guess if that is your thing... my battery is fine, my apps work great and I'm not into doing that much on my phone... if I want to tinker, I have an 8 Core Mac Pro, I can launch rovers to Mars with it, so why would I want to mess with my phone to such a degree.

As they say, <span style="font-style: italic">"there's an App for that"</span>.., :)
