For the 4P 5 bull target, a portion of the edge can be folded and matched / stapled / taped to the other side - essentially making one large target.

Scores of all three short range competitions will be posted in the same thread. If you shoot more than one competition, please use different posts (one for each). At the end of the month, scores and rankings from both competitions will be posted as seperate events.

What do you think of a honor system pool prize? I understand it cannot be a firearm for obvious reason..but I can throw up some .22 Wolf?

Re: JAN 2013 SH SHORT RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

First time attempting the 50 yard tactical target. I was impressed at myself at some stages and definitely disappointed at some of the others. Not the best score but a learning experience and fun none the less. Check that I scored it right.

I was a little shaky kneeling. A little impatient I guess. Shoulda coulda woulda...

For me it has become not so much about hitting my target as much as not missing it.
Snap in!

Re: JAN 2013 SH SHORT RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

Nice shooting, I would call the center target 3-X.
Real glad to get some competition.
Are you gonna give the support side a go?
First time I shot sitting backwards all I wanted was to get it over with. The monthly 25 rounds for this support side match has been, not easy, but real good for me.

Re: JAN 2013 SH SHORT RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

thanks Clodhopper.

I'm running a little low on ammo and to be truthful I haven't been practicing from the support side.

I think I'll start!

I bet it will help.

I've been running a little late getting my targets punched the last couple months. I'll try to stay on top of that and get you something to shoot against.

gonna concentrate on 4P next month, 25 & 50, regular and SS. i always wanted to have a 3 way.

really nice shooting JV!

Re: JAN 2013 SH SHORT RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

Thanks TP.

This is such a nice/fun comp and such good practice it kind of surprises me there aren't more participants.

Then again, I haven't been so good at getting my targets in here either.

Still practicing though! So this comp is helping me whether I get a target posted or not.

I have also noticed how my bone support has improved to a point that I can apply the same techniques and shoot my big gun (14.5 or 15 lb.)without much difference.

I'm really low on ammo right now so that will be my first hurdle to getting a target for next month. Being one of the many unemployed doesn't help much either. I have a job lined up but training is dragging out a little long.
