On the fence about wanting to put one of these together.
For the $$, I could certainly build an AR with better accuracy- but the collectible aspect is appealing. I suspect without a free-floated handguard accuracy leaves something to be desired?

Drilling/milling the new barrel for the front sight/gas port seems straightforward enough, but torn between getting a "correct" (12 twist?) barrel- or one that could shoot the current heavies...

It's my understanding that modification/replacement of some of the FCG is required due to NFA parts. If so, do I need to be concerned about constructive possession or will these parts not fit a current production semi-auto receiver?

Any regrets for those that have done it? Seems $750-$800 is a reasonable price for a piece of history, esp. given what milsurps are selling for these days...

Appreciate any input from those that have done it.

I've wanted to do one too. As I understand it, the kits just have a bcg but you provide your own lpk and it doesn't have an auto sear so your fine with a full auto spec BCG.

I have looked hard at the nodak receivers.
