I got the initial two-dose Pfizer in March/April 2021 and a booster in Nov 2021. Other than the first dose making my arm sore and sleeping like garbage, I'm sorry to say I haven't suffered any ill effects or mutations.
I did get COVID in July 2022 for the first time so there's that...but it was nothing worse than a mild summer cold.
I know far, far, far more people who had severe COVID leading to hospitalization (half-dozen or so) and death (one) than I know people who have experienced significant side effects directly attributed to COVID vaccination (zero).
Everybody's experience is different, and those experiences including my own are anecdotal.
I also get a flu shot every fall and have since my freshman year of college. No, it hasn't 100% prevented me from getting the flu but when I have tested positive for flu A or B my illness hasn't been too miserable...I was WAY sicker when I had it in high school than I've been since with the exception of New Years Eve 2014 - that flu put me on my ass for 3 days and totally sucked. I think the efficacy of the flu vaccine that year ended up being less than 20%.
Y'all do you and all that.
My experience pretty much mirrored yours. I got the initial "two dose" jabs of Pfizer about the same time, just to keep my mom happy and quiet.
I don't do flu shots. To date, I have resisted meds and procedures/equipment recommended to me, if they don't make sense or if my BS-Meter tells me this is something the doctor is "incentivized" to push by the medical industrial complex (mostly the pharmaceutical industry, but also the medical equipment industry). Although I've improved, recently, I still have sleep issues at times (either falling asleep or staying asleep). I've already been through three different (so called) sleep specialists who have pushed "CPAP" or "BiPAP" machines which range in price from $700 - $5,000. Not only the price, but the simple fact that they are totally uncomfortale to use at night. I can't get to sleep with one of those on. There are alternative "tounge placement devices" for roughly $80.00 that help keep you from snoring and experiencing sleep apnea. Still, that ENT continues to push CPAP. I want to know how much the CPAP people are paying him to push CPAP machines...
But I digress. Let us hope I don't have any cardiology issues related to the jabs.
