Media says they are not part of the problem.

How do these kids get to this point?
I wish I knew. I wish there were some identifying mark that appeared on his forehead to alert someone to his troubles. Other than the MSM highly biased coverage of these mass shooting events and typical teen desire to be held in regard if not openly accepted where is the problem? Where are we failing these kids to let them at such an age decide it is better to schwack your school mates and probably die as a result than work out their anger in a productive healing manner. How in the world was his life so bad? Kids did not shoot up the school during the dust bowl and life sucked for most of them. Kids didn't shoot up the school during or after the race riots in Watts. What the heck has changed? In my opinion and my opinion only, the children of today in these extreme cases are products of the same situations that many suffered throughout the years, the same hardships, the same failed families, the same "mom is a hooker", etc. The era of digital communication has changed, they now see the school shooting across the country in real time, see the media sensationalize the shooters, see the comments on Facebook and Twitter and what ever else social media they have available to them. I do not claim to know the answer, but I hope someone figures it out before we come to a place where, well where we almost are today.

It is truly sad.

You can't fit all of these kids into one mold. They all have different problems that forces them down this path. The one thread that appears to be common is an incredible persecution complex. They all feel like outcasts and that everyone is against them.

I'm sorry to say but young boys and men have been drawing the short end of the stick for 50 years. I want to be careful with my next comments but the rise and focus on feminism is a huge issue. Now before anyone jumps down my throat, let me explain. The rise of feminism during the 60s resulted in many positives. I applaud the fact that women no longer face discrimination in all walks of life. I am very glad for my daughters. However, the focus on this and the homogenization of behavior has left young boys and men by the wayside. If anything, young boys can no longer be young boys. They can't work out their problems like we did. Any display of "aggressive" behavior is immediately put down and not tolerated. If two young boys try to settle their differences the way most of us did, it is met with severe repercussions. All this rage does not go away. It becomes compounded when puberty enters into it. Add to that the constant bombardment of TV, video games, etc., and what do you get? Young men that are completely confused and unable to cope. They have lost their identity. Some are so full of rage, it is no wonder that a very small fraction end up in this state. People are quick to blame video games but they have it backwards. The problem isn't the game. People need to ask why are these so popular. The answer is because they are an outlet for both rage and for escape from confusion. Most kids don't play on their own. They play with others via the internet. All of these games are multi-user these days. Some have only this community to cling to. Is it a surprise that they can rationalize the killing of people they go to school with. They do so because their friends are on-line not in schools.

There are also other contributing factors. Parents tend to be either disconnected from their children or are helicopter parents that stifle the learning and growing process for young men. Some parents are also quick to take action but the wrong action. The rise of medicating kids with psychotropic drugs when there is no cause for it is a HUGE problem, especially, if the kid is also using drugs or alcohol without the parents knowing.

Quite frankly, I am surprised this isn't more common than it is.

It is really not as complicated as people make it out to be.

bad parenting. it's that fucking simple.

my nephew is a prime example. mommy is a social worker, and knows how to do discipline kids the right way. her baby attacked day care providers. attacked teachers in kindergarten. attacked other kids, and teachers in 1st grade. graduated to adding police on his list of folks he attacked. mom wouldnt let dad spank the kid, or it was off to jail with him. 3rd grade, the police took the little shit to a padded cell at the hospital. she finally relented and let the kid come stay with dad (they had got a divorce sometime in there due to the disagreement).

kid is with me now. i laid the law down on his monkey ass right out of the gate. let him know i'd fuck his little world up, and showed him just how helpless he was. there was zero doubt from the start who was in charge.

and guess what? the kid has flourished. 5th grade now, and just a regular kid. you'd never know. the only thing that changed is he went to a house where he was not the boss, he had to do as he was told, he had structure and someone he could trust. it aint that fucking hard. you just have to make raising them a higher priority than the other bullshit in life.

“Now I’ll have followers because I’m so awesome”, leads me believe that he, like so many other people, based his self worth on their social media popularity. Social media’s fake fame/worth is quite disturbing when you study how it engulfs people. Children have a hard enough time dealing with the stresses of being kids, in their local community. Now they’ve convinced themselves that their worthless in the eyes of an entire internet community (a world full of your peers), because they don’t have thousands of anonymous “friends”.

Couple that with a MSM that glorifies and celebrates criminal behavior, as well as immortalizing those who should barely be mentioned. Except they are being used to push an agenda. The names of those who died at the hands of sick individuals should be on the tongues of everyone. But most barely remember their names and faces. Yet the killers names and faces are drilled into our heads, so as to rekindle the emotions the next time someone steps in to take their place.

“I’ll never be forgotten, I’ll be a stain on American history....”

I pretty much agree with all of the points being made.

To kinda break it down, what we've got so far is:

Pent up energy/anger/frustration, no (perceived) way to vent it (maybe video games and the like are 'outlets' for this anger?)
- Can't climb trees cuz there are none
- Jungle gyms are nerfed
- Can't fight
- Not everyone wants to chase balls
- Can't build ramps and do crazy shit on bicycles/skateboards/etc because of parents and possibly shitty neighborhoods
- Can't roam freely for similar reasons
- Can't do rough shit (at least not in TX) because teachers are required by law to report bruising and shit to family services, parents don't want that knock on the door

Shitty parenting
- Teachers as babysitters
- Cell phone babysitters
- Video game babysitters
- Television babysitters
- Lack of genuine interest in the kid
- No discipline
- No plan for the kid - Exist until you're out of school then go to college and get a career!
- No consequences
- Shit diet
- Low Information decision making (e.g., Oh, you're kinda hyper, you must have ADHD and some other things. Take these pills, doctor said so)

Shitty media
- You're a rockstar if you murder people
- Please murder people so you can be a rockstar and we can tell the world about you
- No, seriously, if you murder people we'll plaster your face all over the internet, you'll literally be a hero
- Please kill someone
- Please?
- Ok, at least threaten to kill some people, that gets you cool points, too.

I think I'm missing some points, though.

What about the peers? Does being surrounded by vapid fucking retards 8 hours a day for the majority of 12-14 years have an impact?

What about the teachers? Does being subjected to the authority of a majority of degenerate fucking retards 8 hours a day for the majority of 12-14 years have an impact? (Can't count how many times the young folks I know say there's a handful of teachers they like, but the rest range from meh to fucking creepy, to dumb as hell and they don't understand how they're teachers)

What about the structure of the educational system itself? Does anything in this process convey the idea to the kids that doing well in this time will lead to pussy, wealth, and fulfillment? Is "You need to do well so you can go to college" really an incentive? Does any of this matter when the fuckoffs that do literally nothing still manage to get trophies?

Probably some other things, too..

Last bit of insight: Sometimes people are just wired wrong. They are born to be useless, insane pieces of criminal shit. Plain and simple.

To quote Tombstone

Wyatt Earp: What makes a man like Ringo, Doc? What makes him do the things he does?
Doc Holliday: A man like Ringo has a great empty hole through the middle of him. He can never kill enough, or steal enough, or inflict enough pain to ever fill it.
Wyatt Earp: What does he need?
Doc Holliday: Revenge.
Wyatt Earp: For what?
Doc Holliday: Being born

"Media says they are not part of the problem."

This is either a true or false statement depending on what you determine the problem to be and how you intend to solve it.

I wont call them pieces of shit but we used to have secure places for such people to stay until it was determined their votes were needed.

News should be limited to 1 hour per day.

The other 23 hours they should be forced to actually get their facts straight before they come out to the public with info.

When they instant report throughout the 24 hour news cycle the fuck it up and inevitably create fake news.

For the most part, you kno who you don't see shooting up schools? Athletes, choir members, the band, chess club, jROTC, the shooting team, the theater dept, or pretty much anyone with extracurricular activities. Why didn't kids shoot up schools during the dust bowl? They had shit to do. Maybe not glee club, but living was a full time job.

As an analogy, you are hard pressed to find people with allergies in 3rd world countries. And, science has shown that clean homes produce allergies. Effectively, the immune system doesn't have anything to do, so it invents enemies.

These kids are bored. They don't have anything to do, so they invent their problems. Then they eat themselves up with those inventions. Life is hard? Bull shit, life is easy. A roof, 3 squares a day, warm bed, a series of free schools where you can learn about almost anything in the universe.

I haven't done any studies, but I'd like to know the prevalence of school shootings in 3rd world countries...

social media should allow us to identify/catch the really dumb ones and prevent a few. So, thanks for that...
