So a week turned into a month at my smith, but finally got the 300WM back.

Tested out Barnes vor-tx 150’s and not sure what to think of these numbers. Isn’t the SD a little high?

SD should improve after some more rounds go down the pipe.

In fact your SD is less than 1/2 of 1% of your average velocity. That's well below the error allowance of 1% that most chrono makers state in their owners' manuals, so understand that it could be off by 30+ fps faster or slower for each and every shot. I may use a chrono to figure muzzle velocity for my ballistic app, but beyond that, it's just numbers.

So, I put the chrono away several years back. Now, I just look at how things stack up on the target. Numbers can be fictitious, the target doesn't care, and it never lies.
