Rifle Scopes New Steiner T5Xi Tactical Rifle Scopes

Looks like I'll be getting the 3-15 if the MSR is available. Would like to have the same reticle in all the scopes.

Sorry if this is an obvious question - but what are the differences between this line and the existing 3-15 and 5-25s? Same glass but cheaper is amazing!

Kinda peeved, got to say. Not Steiner's fault obviously. Just got the current 5-25 MSR and now the new one is a 1/3 less $ :(

Just got a M5Xi 5-25 a month ago. At least I got an MSR reticle for an extra $1500. Never fails, I feel like an iPhone owner!

Tell me about it... I got the original iPhone the day it came out for $500...

Great looking scope at an even better price point!

Quick question; Based on the naming of the reticle, you designed this scope/reticule combination for competition use? If so what is the advantage for going with a 12mil turret system vs a 10mil? In today’s matches where 6/6.5mm’s are the common calibers your way out beyond 1k with a 10mil turret without even getting to a second turn, even most .308’s will get to 1k using 10mil or less. If using the current turret size and making them 10 vs 12mil wouldn’t that space the clicks out further thus making it easier and faster when dialing under the pressure of timed stages?

Tks for taking the time to answer everyone’s questions, I think doing that says a lot about Steiner and the standard of service one could expect when using your products.

I dont think this will be insulting....its not meant to be......the silhoutte reminds me of Premier, a smaller scale Premier.

Looks like it will be a great scope.

There were 2 thoughts behind the number of mils per rotation. We wanted as many mils total in the turret itself and we wanted good click spacing. With 24 mils total we have a good amount of travel in the turret.

As for being faster and easier I'm not sure how 10 mils is faster. Can you elaborate a bit on that? I'm just not sure I'm catching it.

Holy shit, I think the Vortex Razor and Bushnell HDMR lines just got some serious competition. That 3-15 looks great and I love some of the features on it, may have to give one a try on an AR-10 build in the future... Very nice.

We were honored to have Steiner Release this scope and unveil their new Reticle at the 2014 Sniper's Hide Cup.

They not only supported the match, but RO'd and ran a stage. That is the kind of commitment the US group is showing.

There are a great opportunity for those looking for a high quality scope without going well over that $3k mark. Instead, almost 1/2...

Steiner, can you please verify what comes in the box with these scopes? I'm going to buy the 5-25x, and I've read that there are some accessories included with the scope. Thanks!

Is there any advantage to the previous models? Or is this simply a better scope for less. I have a 5-25 MSR now and love it. If these scopes are as good I'll def pick up a 3-15

Right now the box will include the scope and user manuals (written by us so it should make sense) of course as well as a sunshade and lens cloth. For 2014 we will be running a promotion that will allow you to receive the Tenebraex lens covers and a Switchview throw lever for free.

I've been telling you fellas that Steiner is looking to dominate, and now they introduce this game-changer. This is just the beginning.

You can pre-order with us. We will have room for quite a few of you.

Scott

How do we go about getting the scope caps and switch view lever?

Scott @ LibertyOptics, shoot me a PM with the preorder info. I'd like to get the 5-25 model. Thanks!

I think somebody is going to make a lot of money off these guys ;)

Well done Steiner Optics, I think you just hit a grand slam.

These things have everything. The new ret is a G2 on steroids.

I will be sourcing one of each and selling my PM11

I would love to get the 5-25x.. my current 4-16x is hands down the best optic I have used to date! Had a buddy on the line with me Friday using another (lesser) scope... told him to look thru mine and I thought he was gonna cry. Great products, great support

Export to Canada and Australia is a sure thing. No problem there.

New to Snipershide, but this is great news for shipping to Canada! Are any retailers/distributors up here going to carry your line, or should one just purchase one in the US and have it exported?

They will be available at retailers in canada. You can contact stoeger canada to find out where once the are available

I would be interested in the 3x15 preorder/Steiner promo to see if I like enough for the 5-25. Let us know what the process is for this.

Will this model(s) be available to Promotive ?

Sorry if this was asked, I didn't see an answer.

Thanks.

It was asked and i didnt answer because I dont have one yet. Im looking into it and will let you guys know as soon as I hear. Hopefully we are all systems go on that front.

I'd have to agree with you on this one about the 16X. Best optics I've had as well and that includes a variable IOR 16X, 2 steiner 25X's and a current Schmidt 20X though the schmidt is microscopically just behind. I'd love to see the 16X updated with the new scope design and more reticles and I'd take one over my current 20X schmidt, even if it weighs the same as the old model.

Thanks

Stupid question, and not meant to be insulting... Obviously, there must be something cheaper or different vs. the "regular" Steiner scopes to be able to sell it at the price point its being offered in.
What exactly are you giving up or skimping on by manufacturing here in the US vs Germany?

A large portion is probably customs taxes if i had to guess

We're giving up quite a bit actually. High labor costs, high materials costs, high manufacturing costs, VAT taxes, importation taxes, importation costs, and mark ups. It adds up in a hurry.

Gotcha. So basically its not so much cheaper materials being used to build the scopes as it is cheaper prices for the same materials since its the US.

Makes sense, and I'm glad to hear that. This scope is definitely on my radar.

These scopes look very well speced and at a very good price point as well , about the only thing I would like is the option for a CW direction knobs , as a few people run scopes already in this way , and would like to continue ?

Later Chris

Sounds like we're well on our way to third world status ( right as planned ) , Let's hope the socialist in chief don't get wind of this back door capitalism !

Oh no not at all. When you get your hands on it you will see that we didnt skimp on anything. This is a solid unit and it feels like a good quality optic should.

I wish these would've dropped the same time as the AIAT.... that'd make for a pretty slick combo.

This is actually a good sign. Germany/Europe Union has gone so socialized that even our expensive labor is cheaper than building in country.

If we continue down their path though - socialized medicine, permanent unemployment pay, and raising the minimum wage to pay for showing up rather than performance - Im sure we can stop this trend for manufacturing in the US and actually take our economy over the brink to become Greece.

Sadly it seems that the Business Lobbyists are betting we continue on this path and they are pushing for Amnesty so perhaps they can ride the wave a little longer by using cheap "new citizen" labor (screwing present citizens) gaining them some time to milk the last profits before the crash.
