Today at the range my besfriends son found a projectile lying next to the berm. It was not deformed but it was rusted. I lightly sanded the rust off and then hand polished it a bit. The bullet is a boattail and seems to be solid steel. Without a mic handy, I used a ruler and got the approximate dimensions; 11.1125mm x 46.0375mm (7/16" x 1 13/16").
