Berger 155.5 fullbore

bullet is jumping .050" / there is about .250''- .260" of bearing surface in case neck


proven nodes at charges of 43.2grns & 44.4grns.

looking for pressure at these 2 charges.

Case capacity in grains of water will be needed. Use a fired case that hasn't been decapped. I zero my scale with the brass on it then add the water. Slightly convex at the case mouth. Do a couple to get an average. Also, COAL?

So I am using GRT instead of Quickload, but it does the same thing (and is free). It is showing the OBT nodes at 44.0 and 42.8. This is normal as lots of powder vary. Pressure and velocity listed below. If you know the muzzle velocity, you can confirm which charge weight is closer.

44.4 57.3kpsi 2677fps
44.0 55.8kpsi 2654 fps
43.2 52.8kpsi 2608 fps
42.8 51.3kpsi 2585 fps

Oddly.. my MV @43.2 is 2755.
MV @44.4 is 2840

Must be a snappy lot of powder

You sure your barrel length is right? If it is, you are way overpressure. velocity=pressure. It is just a model, but it has yet to be that far off without some input error.

Measuring from boltface to crown I get 19 & 3/16 inches.

Not seeing any sign of pressure... ???

For reference this barrel does 2575 w/ 168fgmm ammo.
