I just got this link from @sniper307 in our discussions on an early-bell ST-3 scope.

This is a fantastic reference and is a full downloadable PDF of USO scopes when they were at the top of their game and right as folks were discovering them. (Remember months-long waits for custom USO's?)

Thanks @sniper307 for this link. Though my memory is still good, this fills in some fantastic materials/details and is a great reference.

Cheers,

Sirhr

Wow that brings back lots of memories. I remember the contest here to pick the name of what became the JAEGER series. The two SN-3's ( a 17X & 22X) I had were the most parallax forgiving scopes I've ever seen to-date. If memory serves Frank drew a ret on a table napkin w/the founder & it became a huge seller.
Then there was the IPHY rets & knobs that confused many, Laughing. I remember doing the barber pole at jafo's aka @j-huskey
HardRock range, and saying WTF is this. Did the math and found it was IPHY, which I liked much better than MOA, as it was much faster to range with.

Was just thinking of this company and how when I first found them back in the day, I SWORE they made custom stuff like different colors, and a choice of aluminum, Ti or steel tubes. Was I remembering that right?

Ya you could ask about anything and they would build, or at least put some thought for a Yes or No answer .
Like one of the SN3, 3.8-22 x44, ERGO, in pic. above, has / EREK Elev. knob / L-side wind knob / R-side green Illum. / Internal bubble level . The EREK Elev. is pretty nice with the .308, you can get to 1-K with less than 2 revolution turning . I don't know if still do, but they also had a 'Blue' color Ret. illum. that was Really nice put in front of a clip-on NV.
I still got several of their old decals they used to sendout with scopes.
