RRA Backlog?

I ordered a RRA piston driver from my LGS last December, and paid him upfront. He has been telling me that Rock River is still experiencing serious back log issues and it may be early next year before I get it. As it's 3:45am on the east coast I can't call RRA directly right now but will later today. In the mean time, has anyone else experienced such a delay? Having seen RRAs pop up in volume on gun broker and in other gun stores my spidey-sense is beginning to tingle.

Its not just an RRA problem...it is an industry-wide problem caused by the stupid panic buying BS that the entire country went through from Dec. 2012 (when you placed your order) through mid-2013. The biggest hurdle for RRA (and others right now) is the sourcing of certain critical components without which they can't ship rifles, uppers, etc.

Calling RRA may (or may not) get you any real answers because like most companies in the AR world that are "mass producers"...they aren't generally going to give out any meaningful information on lead times, etc. They have an industry forum on BARFCOM that may assist you. Steve with RRA frequently appears and responds to questions, lead times, etc., but again, it'll show when it shows!
