Well, im gonna bow out of this thread. I just get angry. However, I’ll leave this headline for a news article from today.

If you think for a minute the Christians here are not dealing with the very same emotional reactions of anger and a desire for vengeance and retribution, you sir are greatly mistaken. In my opinion if your school doesn't kick your kids out on a regular basis, you have a good school and live in a blessed place or you haven't taught them to recognize and call out shitheads in public .
Don't teach your kids to be scared of telling the truth about shitheads to other children.
They will punish them for telling the truth but hopefully some get trashed by admin eventually.
Both my sons eventually graduated public school because I was too poor to go private and not educated enough to go it alone.
A sad reality I have to bear.
Now onto protecting grandsons and catching flack for it, oh well.

It’s easy to blame schools but a lot of parents are lazy and don’t take charge. I’m willing to bet his parents were permissive and “oh he’ll just grow out of his weird faggot lefty phase” etc.

Today has been a day for thought and prayer for me. Back from gym. 4 miles, 30 minutes...not bad for a guy past his prime. Train hard, carry heavy packs, lift heavy things, shoot often and accurately. Preparedness matters, and taking care of our bodies is good for us mentally, spiritually, and physically.
One of you mentioned the other day that "the right" is an on/off switch, where the modern left has a dial of activated violence. The side of Good should be like a switch; don't flip it until necessary, and flip it back when the problem has been completely solved. That switch doesn't flip easily for most of us an individuals. It shouldn't flip easily.
Many of us are what you might call good men, with family, men of faith, men of honor, kindness, and generosity. We should never be eager for more violence, but we should be prepared to defend with ferocity. Many of us carry a terrible capacity for violence and destruction; it's knowing how and when to use it that separates us from the monsters. If you've been in combat, you can speak to this better than I can.
Some of us here have been forced to kill before. It can be a soul-scarring thing, if you're a good man with your humanity intact. But sometimes it's necessary, and it's right.
Never seek a conflict. Never start a conflict. But if the evildoers bring conflict to our nation, or to your home's door, we should be prepared to fully end what is started. If necessary, to end it finally among the smoking ruins of whatever is left of everything they once had.
I've lived with the impact of making a hard, but right, decision for almost 20 years. I've never once regretted it. I regret only that the choices of another man forced me into the position to lawfully and rightly permanently take his ability to do harm. His action, my consequences. My hands and conscience are clean, and my soul is right with God.
