Rifle Scopes SWFA-SS Tax Day Group Buy: 1-6, 5-20, and more!

I think it is 7/15 per the first post in this thread.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">If we haven't hit 10,000 by then (and it appears we won't) I'll just buy the 5-20x50 then. The risk of waiting until 6-15-2012 is not reaching 10,000 at all ... and getting no discount.
</div></div>

If you look at the expiration dates for the coupon codes (all 30days after) the rate of "Likes" is about 1k per every 2-3 days. Per my my quick glance, it appears 10k is very likely. </div></div>

You're right, 7/15.

It picked up about 1000 over the weekend ... I'm a little more optimistic about 10K now.

Re: SWFA-SS Tax Day Group Buy: 1-6, 5-20, and more!

"Liked"! - I hope they hit 10k - Its going to be impossible to say no to that combo at that price...

My Poor Burris LRS/PEPR hardly has any use on it.

Re: SWFA-SS Tax Day Group Buy: 1-6, 5-20, and more!

It doesn't look like I have a snowballs chance in hell at getting in on the 1-6 deal and that blows. Good luck to you guys looking forward to the 10K mark. Looks like its within reach which is crazy.

Edit: Only 2,100 more likes to get to 10,000 by July 15th... Its going to happen.

Looks like I will have to July or August to find a way to get in on the 1-6 and 5-20 package so there is still some hope haha.

I am in the market for a good scope and I have heard good things about them so they were high on me list. As it stands now, I am on the fence about dealing with SWFA. I think they F'ed up.

This is an internet advertising campaign. They recoup the loss in markup by gaining 10,000 marketable followers. That is 10,000 consumers and I'm guessing 100% are gun friendly, with most of them being owners. That's 10,000 potential customers buying from SWFA instead of some other site.

If SWFA can pull off the 10k and I get the product in a relatively reasonable time, and the order process isn't as poor as my past dealings, I may continue to use SWFA instead of some of the other vendors I've been using.

So SWFA, here is your chance to win me back. Since you botched my cheapo $200 order on a pair of 6-24 $99 crossfires, I've probably spent about 6k on optics, that didn't come from your company.

I hope you can renew my faith. But first... we need to hit 10k followers. I also posted this deal over at Zombie Squad, so hopefully we get some more "Likes".

Re: SWFA-SS Tax Day Group Buy: 1-6, 5-20, and more!

Got on my brother's facebook today and told everyone to like SWFA. Took me a minute to figure it out, but I did. We are moving in the right direction.

What did we do to you to lose you as a customer? I would like to address the problem on this end so that it does not happen again.

Good job guys!

Re: SWFA-SS Tax Day Group Buy: 1-6, 5-20, and more!

I can't believe some of the belly aching about "Having to join" Facebook for this promotion. Who cares about Facebook? You create an account and click "like", big deal. You don't have to give them your social and checking account routing numbers.

SWFA rocks! I've bought quite a few things from them and they've price matched and done great with my orders. I just sent in a trade for the 5-20 deal and I'm hoping it will be as great as what everyone says.

I don't want to clutter this thread up with my prior issues from a while back, so if you need more info, feel free to PM me, if you want. After I PM'd the requested information in the thread in reference below, I never head anything else on the issue, so hopefully the issue is already resolved on your end.

In the end, Vortex tech support took care of me and made the situation right. I've actually purchased other Vortex Optics - just not through SWFA

Like I said, if this 10k "like" campaign goes through, I'll probably be willing to give it another go with you guys on the 1-6, 5-20 combo deal.

Re: SWFA-SS Tax Day Group Buy: 1-6, 5-20, and more!

Hey,

I just read that the tie-in with Mission Tactical makes it very likely you will reach 10,000 hits.

What is the estimated delivery time of the combo? Will you bill our CC when the scope(s) ship?

Re: SWFA-SS Tax Day Group Buy: 1-6, 5-20, and more!

The <span style="font-weight: bold">10000 </span>coupon code will only be good for both the 5-20 and 1-6. You will not be able to order just the 1-6 or 5-20 individually using this code.

The code will not work if the 1-6 and 5-20 are in the shopping cart individually. You must order the “combo” product.

We made a separate SKU that has both the 5-20 and 1-6 combined.

Sir

If I order the combo, will the 5-20 ship out right away? I can wait for the 1-6, but really need the 5-20. Thanks!!

</div></div>

SWFA, I disagree with this statement about your website. It is organized in the sense that it is hierarchical, and aesthetically pleasing. Not in the sense that it is particularly useful. For example:

1.) it takes me 4 clicks just to see the list containing the 1-6 or 5-20 from the front page (and I have to have a priori knowledge of that they are MRAD scopes). That was an easy one. Same goes for many other examples in which you need to know the product line in which they fall into in advance. Bushnell and Leupold highlight this much more painfully. The VX-3 line has 8 pages on its own to go through.

2.) if I want to drill down, search, or filter things, there is no straightforward way to do this. e.g. try searching for "zero stop" then filtering for only illuminated reticles and 34 mm tubes. No mechanism to do so. search for all the terms at once "zero stop 34mm illuminated". No hits. I guess SWFA doesn't sell what I'm after (hint, you do...) and no, google site search isn't an adequate patch here, especially due to forum results.

3.) select 2-3 scopes and compare features side by side? notably absent.

The website is fine if you already know exactly what you're after, but if you want to find the products sold by SWFA that meet your criteria in a brand agnostic manner it is a time consuming process. I think you have an opportunity to make shopping even easier and beat the pants off your competitors. You already have a price guarantee, and reputedly very good CS. If you made your site the go to source for comparison shopping as well I'd never even bother to look anywhere else (well, except maybe to get a price match - if I even cared).

Congratulations, this ad campaign worked. You've won me (and probably many others) as a customer, but you could have had me a long time ago too.

Re: SWFA-SS Tax Day Group Buy: 1-6, 5-20, and more!

Facebook goes public the other day, opened at 32 (or was it 36) and closed at same price, LOL!!!!! GM stated that FB likes made no impact on their sales whatsoever.....

Meanwhile Zuckerburg renounces his U.S. Citizenship and establishes his permanent residency outa here, to avoid USA taxes, of course.....

Re: SWFA-SS Tax Day Group Buy: 1-6, 5-20, and more!

I'm in for the 10,000 combo deal, tired of missing out on SWFA's fantastic bargains and group buys. Just waiting on the ball to drop. Thanks guys!!

Only thing about this that sucks is the fact that I live near SWFA and therefore have to pay the sales tax. Still well worth it.

You can LOL at the stock price all you want, but Zuckerberg made $20 billion dollars in one day. And no, he did not renounce his US citizenship; you are confusing him with someone else.

Re: SWFA-SS Tax Day Group Buy: 1-6, 5-20, and more!

A bit OT, but...

That ^ is not quite accurate either. He made his billions over years of building the company and brand. His shares actually had a real "private" value long before the IPO as well.

The fellow who renounced his citizenship was a cofounder of the company, not Zuckerberg.

I was also pleasantly surprised with the lackluster IPO price performance. However, all it really means is that the IPO was priced well.

Re: SWFA-SS Tax Day Group Buy: 1-6, 5-20, and more!

Hmmm I swear I heard on radio top of the hour news it was Zuckerberg who renounced citizenship. Somebody got it wrong then because that is what they said. He got married on Wednesday also. I wonder if she's sincere? I wouldn't exactly call him a handsome fellow either but he is in Bill Gates level now, maybe I'm shallow.
Her maiden name is Chinese sounding, she's not the hottest looking Asian I've seen either, but not too bad.

Re: SWFA-SS Tax Day Group Buy: 1-6, 5-20, and more!

Looks like it'll hit 10k in time for a Tuesday order. Might have missed this in the 10 pages of posts but will the 5-20's that are in stock ship immediately or will they hold the shipments until the pair can ship?

Also when does the card get charged? Immediately or when the scopes ship?

Re: SWFA-SS Tax Day Group Buy: 1-6, 5-20, and more!

Radio is wrong Zuckerberg did not renounce his citizenship, it was Eduardo Saverin, a co-founder. The bride and groom have been together for 9 years.

Im sure all the social networking media will have all the details, however they present it.

^^^ this is exactly why I tend to shy away from shopping at SWFA. I have bought glass from them before when I knew what I was looking for. But when I want to compare items that meet specific criteria, I can't and go elsewhere.

Well if you want the deal then you have to realize 10,000 likes would not have been possible without people posting about this topic. I am sure the hide is probably the reason this goal is being met.If this is not the appropriate forum for these posts, then what is?
